    As a reader on this forum, there are far more "leak" or other problem posts stemming from improper metal upgrade filter installation or using counterfeits.

    That would be pretty unlikely. The female threads are recessed in the housing. Combine that with the very coarse threads, cross threading doesn't happen.

    The threads are super coarse. To be sure line it up and turn counterclockwise 1/4 turn before tightening clockwise. I just had to be snug no uggas or duggas
