So my wife somehow had never heard of rickrolling someone--though even my 8 year-old had--that's what prompted my rickroll of that dude asking about bumpers. "Why here's a great opportunity now." I think she now thinks I'm even dumber than she thought before.

Free parts you say... I got some free AR15 barrels from Faxon like this once. Shipped, lost, refunded, 19 weeks later they showed up, clearly opened, one had clearly tried to be installed. UPS. I called and filed a I forget what it's called complaint. Basicly I was wanting someone in Nashville TN fired for theft of my shit. Never head about what they did or found out

This is awesome! Did you get it to work? How difficult is it to do this?

I'll be pleasantly surprised if it ever actually arrives. That said, I suspect they printed the label without checking inventory, and hoped I'd forget about it so they could keep the cash. I later learned the stealership didn't have the best rep.

Even if it arrives, I'll almost guarantee it gets here with damage.

If like to know what TRQ/ 1A the collective thoughts their parts. Good? Bad? Okish OEM replacement?

I ask cause they have a drive shaft carrier bushing for a good price.

Buy Spicer/Dana. It's not much more and it's the OEM choice.

    https://www.tundras.com/threads/1st-gen-parts-corner-of-shame-oem-minus-or-plus.122591/

If you want to read about pass/fail on other parts ^^

I don't buy TRQ parts. Learned that lesson, but in a "screw me thrice" kinda way.

We try to keep it like that. :D

Although there's also a lot of gold nuggets buried in this Lunch Table thread too, which is unfortunate. Lots of info sharing on here. It's a pity the search is so confusing for people, but I mean, it's also nice to have certain topics bubble up again every now and then.

Gotta come from somewhere…… maybe he has a best gen but wants to show off his turdy? I comment all the time on my local 4runner club, and mainly post pics and storylines of the truck.

I thought Koyo was front of engine and wheels, Dana/Spicer was driveline? (U-joints, carrier at minimum)

Thanks @FrenchToasty I come from a background of 2 Tacomas, 2 Tundras and 97LX450. I'm here bc I'm actively in the market to buy a 1GT as soon as I find a good one. I like to learn. And you all in this group mostly seem pretty cool and grounded.

Can we get @bmf4069 to post the welcome fire gif?
We rely a lot on each other around here, it’s a great community, so we’re often weary of outsiders for a reason(@bmf4069 insert 5.7 urinal pic)
But welcome to the thunderdome and good luck with your search!
There is also a lot of other bad ass people helping people in the 2nd gen(2007-2021) threads too.

My 2nd gen (RIP) is with the junkyard gods now. Rollover on a icey road outside of South Lake Tahoe, no guardrail. I should've ended up in the river but the universe had other plans for me and my bed got hung up on a tree, preventing me from sliding down the embankment.

The good news is it landed me in a turd. My turd is my work truck and I'm looking for a 1GT as my camping/exploring/ off-roading rig.

Stoked to be here, I'm learning a ton already. I've gone to look at a few 1GTs that have been for sale, but I'm also being picky.
