What's the lamest instrument?

What is the lamest instrument you could possibly play?
Like if you play the tambourine in a band, are you even really in the band?

 

Pretty much if a real band member can play your instrument while playing his own, you’re obsolete. -tambourine, keyboard, kazoo, triangle…

How did clarinet not make the list?

I'll take bagpipes, harmonicas, and accordians over them any day.

As a blues harp player who has accompanied several bands I can only say that you must be completely unaware of the amazing stuff that comes from a well played harmonica

The recorder will always be the lamest, hands down. It’s lame and embarrassing for school kids, and for any adult who takes it seriously — their lameness can’t even be measured because it’s so lame a reasonable person can’t think about it for more than a few seconds without being filled with apoplectic repulsion and nausea.

If a beat boxer has gotten ahold of the instrument then it's automatically at the top of the list for me.

 

The pan flute has got to be the most masculine instrument out there. One word... Zamfir. Just as any woman over the age of 60 (or is that 70?) who he is. Played correctly and you could...i mean WILL swoon millions of women.
