Hahaha right, whats your worst electrical shock?
Mine happened when I was really young, hand in watering trough (frog), head touched electric fence.
Ive had plenty of 110/120v ac pokes, but nothing like that fence.

So what does it feel like? Is it like getting stung by a hundred bees simultaneously?

Pain is subjective. Maybe like a bee or scorpion sting, but didnt last as long. I remember the feeling of being unable to move, more than the sting.

My wife's bosses pulled a Ted Cruz and fled to the keys. She has to go dog sit for them. I told her to charge double.

I was actually wearing sunglasses Oakelys though. Driving like Ray Charles thanks to the rumble strips. Drift toward the center brrrrb, correct to the right brrrrb, and repeat.

I pretty much commute in the Altima. It's AWD and does pretty well in up to a foot of powder.

He's also joking about a former member that said All Terrain tires were garbage.

All terrains may be useless... but I put my mud grips on before the snow and ice was to hit here. It hardly was an event here. I call that pretty effective tire change...

I didn't realize how bad a couple of monsters at work let my Jura Impressa x70 get after I moved it over to our new space in 2018.

I brought it home b/c office is closing down. It had a bad vibe pump on it bitd and the repair cost quote was astronomical for pro repair and work didn't want to pay for it, so I took it in and repaired it myself after convincing em to give it to me. It was working flawlessly but probably could use a brew group cleanout and burr replacement.

Vacuumed it out and got the chassis cleaned up. Cleared about 2TBSP of packed coffee out of the auto-grinder chute. Scrubbed down all the parts, looked pretty spiffy after. Too bad all the plastic doors are missing at least one plastic tab, but that's normal for these Juras, IME.

    upload_2024-1-20_14-15-22.png

Get it home, no water flow. Vibe pump making awful racket, so I know it's probably lost its prime. Get some suitable hose, prime the pump manually. Water started working. This is what came out of the first 3 rinses.

    upload_2024-1-20_14-16-13.png

    Get started on cleaning.

Round 1 cleaning output. Looks like beef broth.

    upload_2024-1-20_14-16-34.png
Round 2 cleaning output. Looks like chicken broth. (Round 3 was cloudy/clear and purely detergent/water, so not bothering to show)

Keep what, the machine? They already gave it to me back in 2016. I repaired the faulty water pump ($65, 30 minutes) and had it downstairs in my team's nook for our private use. We moved in 2018, and people were bitching about missing it, so I carried it over before closing our old place.

Since then, some of the dudes on the cybersec side of the building were (ab)using it. The main team (ab)using it got let go 1-2 years back and nobody was really using it due to pando lockdowns, so I guess the pump lost prime and nobody knows anything about coffee/espresso machines so ... here I am.
