I searched the forum and could not find a specific dimension inside height of crew max 5.5ft bed with Retrax Pro XR cover. Anyone know or willing to measure your truck for me. I don't have the Tundra yet. Waiting for specific options and color. Rational for asking the dimension is for putting eBike (folded style) on the truck bed for camping trip. For me, eBike hitch rack is not an option because I will pulling a travel trailer.

Curious. Can you attach your eBike hitch rack to the back of your travel trailer? My trailer has a hitch on the back to add such a device.

I am considering this eBike rack to be back of my travel trailer. https://1up-usa.com/product/2-heavy-duty-double
Note: My rear travel trailer max capacity is 175lbs dymanic weight.
This rack has lowest weight but has high bike load capacity. it is $$$$$

Another option is using motorcycle trailer hitch carrier. it is much cheaper with higher capacity. https://www.blackwidowpro.com/motorcycle/carriers/double-dirt-bike/p/amc-600-2/

My situation is that rear TT hitch may not be strong enough to carry two ebikes.

I didn’t spend the money to just swap out stuff.
Have you considered utilizing the T slot rails on the XR cover for some kind of bike rack?

How heavy is the bike? I also agree t slot track might be best for what you’re trying to do.

Just what I was thinking. This isn't the greatest picture, but it should give him an idea of what he can do with cross bars and the XR. @flareonrx300

20.5" to safely clear the rolling cover. I just went outside and measured. Let me know if you need anything else measured.

Yes, I though about T slot rails from Retrax XR. My situation is bit more complicated. I do have two fishing 12 ft kayaks that they will be on truck rack, like this picture below. (NOTE: picture below is not mine, just got it from fb).

One option is to add another racks rails just above the cover (like picture above from SC4333), when I am not transporting 2 kayaks. It is just a pain to swap rack systems during summer months, and extra $$$.

As you see from the picture below, the setup is mainly for a short trip 4-7 week. My use case is to configure and setup the truck for month(s) long trip to west or TX/FL coast fishing trips. So, I would like to close the truck bed during long travel days and stays. I am willing give up full size ebike (fat tire, 26 inch wheels) for folder ebike (fat tire, 20inch wheels).

That is why I search for the actual inside bed height with Retrax XR.

If I am able to solve the rack system to transport kayaks and ebike. I will get full size ebike, which it weight about 65lbs each (without batteries). if not, i just get a folded ebike (approx 57 lbs) for ease of transport and loading.

Yeah, I did explore these overland truck rack options too. So, far I have not find one that has a cross bar at 70 inches. My fishing kayak width is 34 inches each, 2x34=68.

You should call them and ask for the 70” width option. It is available as a spare part and is compatible with their rack. I transferred my Tacoma rack to Tundra by getting wider cross bars
