But quick, bullet proof, won’t roll over in an accident, and can pull some heavy weight

Yeah ... i guess i can duck my head just in time when im getting shot at since the glass isn't .

Can you imagine driving off road and slightly denting the bottom damage the battery ? Its a throw away since the battery was a stupid design build as part of the frame instead of an easier solution to be a bolt on/off.

Good riddance. Then I don't have to listen to them whine about mpgs and their truck not being a state of the art luxury sedan.

I think there’s some resistance on the windows too- to what extent? I don’t know. Better to have some protection, than none. LAPD windows are not bullet proof, but they have bullets proof panels. My guess is so your legs aren’t dead if you need to get out; that and in the event of a crash, (t-bone…common) think of the protection you have and less chances of being trapped in a vehicle.
I am not sure what the underneath looks like in regards to protection of the battery, but I imagine there is something there. Also, keep in mind it rides at 17” height (true height) when you tell it to.

    Here is my present rumination:

    ALL present truck look alike.

    like, exactly alike.

    CT is different.

it has all the ingredients that are FAR above any of the present examples.

    it will succeed.

I’m willing to bet many will jump ship for the CT. People don’t care about the Tesla bans or $50k penalty if they flip it for $150k

I dont hate the front. The side and rear profiles are a bit wonky. It’s ok for the design to mature a bit Elon. All they did since the introduction was shrink it.

I hate to admit it I kinda like it, but I'll wait and see when it's actually in production.

    scratch that, I put deposit...............

I just hope the winter range won't be so bad, been driving a Model 3 long range past week, range says 400km but I can barely get it past 300km, and apparently trying to set the temp at 23c/74f is consider wasteful in Teslas.

I want to apologize for my negative points on the cybertruck. I still would not consider it a truck but unique class of its own . After some considerable research this is incredible innovative on so many levels . Yes there are some issues that I do not like but the engineering is shocking .

I clowned the hell out of the ct before it was released. But I too was pretty impressed by the innovation and tech it brings to the table. Jay Leno went over the Offroad features, of which I can only assume will be upgraded to make it better over time. I had no interest in it at all a month ago, but ended up placing a reservation on the dual motor version after the unveiling so I should see it in 2026 maybe lol.

    The J
The Jay Leno show really was the preverbal nail
on the coffin that finally swayed me . Most of what I read or watched had an underlying tone of bs marketing but facts are facts when you are a mechanic like myself and appreciate the engineering.

Sure there are plenty of things that could of been done better but the technology....wow...impressive. Is it ugly ? It grows on you . The interior could of been improved in many ways especially for people like me that do prefer the feel of touch tactile buttons and a proper dash cluster above the steering wheel. They should of allowed access from the cabin to the bed as well etc etc . But every vehicle has some issues and at the end of the day - its personal preference.

The real world towing range of the Cybertruck is less than 90 miles. Real world highway driving range is 150-250 miles in the cold. Both are abysmal numbers for a $100,000+ truck

Yeah Ive been reading about alot of issues on the CT.

    - rear mirror view
    - mismatched panel finishes
    - no stearing column single change
    - lack if tactile controls ( all on the screen )
    - towing range

    what can I say
