What have you done to your 2.5 gen Tundra today?

Cane Corsos are bad ass too and look very similar to presa canario. They are protective of their family and their homes. I loved my cane corso.

This is my boy....in these pics he's around a year. He's about 7 years old now.

 

Nice beautiful dog, that pic w/the green eyes from camera is crazy cool looking. Yeah I've always been a fan of the big breeds. My last dog was a 160lb Rottie name Esco, believe it or not at that weight he wasn't fat at all. Many said he was the biggest Rottweiler they have ever seen when he was alive. I miss that dog he was a great one.

 

I also had an English Mastiff. The last time I took them to the vet....the cane corso weighed 145lbs (weighs more now I'm sure....he's thicker now than he was then) and the English 220lbs.

 

Yeah I had buddy in college with English mastiff and he was around 2 bills. Can't imagine 220 moving around house, gotta be like living with a horse lol. Was funny my Rottie thought he was a lap dog and always in my way following me room to room lol. Stop it now ur making me want to go out and get another dog, I've already been in couple talks with a breeder out in VA, just waiting for the right combo of sire and dame so I can get pick of litter. Time is near.

 

Any second now, the u two get a room post will be coming...... I know I know back to regularly scheduled program. Lol

 

Lol sorry. having both of them was awesome...only thing that sucked was the food bill....but they were worth it. I miss them both a lot.

 

Dropped it off at the dealer. 1,300 miles and the 4wd messed up and wouldn't engage. Only made a continuous clunking

I kind of took the same approach. I hated the silver colored original sticker and kept the original design but in matte black in my black colored truck

 

I seem to have bad luck with vehicles for some reason. So I only laughed when it happened.

 

Keep ur head up, I went thru bunch of crap too on mine, I think it's the being new thing that attracts problems/damage. Once u get it out the way and it's no longer new, it's all downhill from there. All seriousness, sorry to hear of ur troubles, get it checked and try not to stress, remember u got ur bumper to bumper in back pocket. If its anything serious that can cause future issues try get dealer to swap it out for ya. Worth a try, good luck.

 

Already dropped off at the dealer and should hear something tomorrow. The warranty is what is keeping me level headed. I hadn't had to use 4wd in probably 3 years, and the first time I use it something breaks. At least they gave me a loaner instead of forcing me to rent a car. Damn corolla gets 40mpgs!

Nice Kyle, yeah matter of fact the guy Richard Kelley is the man who started the breed being recognized by those diff orgs like akc ect, i think he founded the upc(think United presa canario club). He is from NJ and his kennel was show stoppers. His stud was G'kar and about 15 years ago I went to his home to see the dogs in his kennel in North or New Brunswick at the time. When I saw G'kar I fell in love with the breed. The dog is well known throughout the presa community and sired 56 litters, he's from the Los cardones bloodline which is like the blood line of bloodlines for the breed. I think most of the current breeders in the states use stud dogs from his litters and bloodline. The dog was insanely huge and muscular, I mean ridiculous size, but temperament was awesome too. I actually wanted to leave him 2 grand before i left that day to secure a future pick of the litter once my Rottie passed. No people I wasnt wishing my dog at that time dead, just wanted to make sure I got a dog when he did, like life insurance for a funeral. It's a good thing h0e didn't want my money at that time until I was ready to take home a pup and good thing bc like I said, last 15 yrs been crazy. To this day I've never seen anything like it. But ever since I saw that dog that day I fell in love with the breed and knew 1 day I would have 1. At time I had big dominant Rottie and couldn't get a presa bc the future problems that would result when it matured and challenged Rottie for dominance. Since my Rottie has passed like 6 or 7 yrs ago, but then it was 2 kids, a condo, house, and other things in life that I didn't have the time to dedicate to such a breed that demands so much attention n training. The time is getting near now that I'm in better situation in life to dedicate the time and wifey on board too bc she fell in love when I took her 15 yrs ago too. Her only request is to not crop the ears bc she feels they look too scary then and no one in our family will want to come over (I say all the more reason lol). I'm still working on that battle but I'll prevail and have 1 soon w/cropped ears. Lol

 

Hahah i hear you on that one! I love my Presa his name is Apollo. First interaction when i met him at the breeders was shy and timid.. but after a month at the house ol boy became best of buds with my wifes cat... already established that its his house and will do anything to protect it.. my wifes mother flew in about a month later and i warned her about my new puppy and about his natural instincts. Kid you not once she stepped one foot in the house he started to growl and stood by my wife and I's side until my wife could introduce her mom to him. Keep in mind thats with no training at all! Besides that taking him for walks was a breeze first walk he stayed obidient and stayed by my side the whole time not once did he try to pull or take lead (unlike my german shepard who pulls you everywhere....) for people wondering about how such a dog can be so agressive and protective what about children. Well me and my wife just had a baby and just brought her home and he had no issue but more of a surprised looked to see a mini human haha! But overall these dogs (and cane corso) are naturally so loyal and loving that need like you said Alot of attention. If you show them love and affection you will get back x100 from them everytime and this breed(s) would be willing enough to die protecting you and your family doing whatever if took. Overall great breed fell in love once i saw them and did more research on them. But to back you up it is the UPCC i have Apollo's paperworked filled but havent gotten around to mailing it in to register him as a pure bred presa (which in fact he is) and my wife was the exact same way... i wanted to crop his ears but she convinced me other wise and here apollo is walking around with his non vicious floppy ears flapping everywhere haha!

 

Cropped or not I'm sure he's a great dog. Just keep an eye on him around baby until he's fully accustomed, I'd say that to any dog owner. But especially with such a powerful breed. They are extremely smart, protective and loyal as u said. I'm sure the baby will be totally fine, even with ear pulling, butt poking ect. But u still always want to keep an eye out, again any dog. These dogs know their role and as long as they don't believe they are the alpha u will be fine. These dogs need a strong owner so they fall below on their perceived status in fam. Long as they realize u, ur wife and kid come 1st in pecking order they will assume that protective do anything for anyone in ur fam. Just be careful with anyone who's not been around b4 and ur say kid. Make sure the dog don't perceive any threats by any strangers to them toward ur kid, it can get ugly. But usually they are smart and confident enough to know when something is wrong and when they can relax. Fiercely loyal and protective, not great with other dogs and strangers, very very smart. Long as u know the breed going in and dedicate time affection and allow for positive ways to get their energy out they are great. A locked up all day, never socialized, never walked, presa can be a time bomb if u just bring a stranger around and the owner themself feels on gaurd. They pick that feeling up of owners nervousness and causes them to go into guard mode, then all it takes is 1 bad move from that stranger and its a problem for everyone. Definitively need a strong owner, dedicated owner, one who shows discipline and affection, willing to put time into socializing and training. If so, the dog can flourish and become a huge great part of the family. If those things are not met, it can become a huge problem for owner, dog, and that poor person just wrong place wrong time. Trying to decide what do do about aux. lighting. I have a pair of Lightforce Strikers with clear and IR filters. Do I use those or follow the current trend and get a lightbar instead?

 

Use the light forces. I always loved them.
