I called king this morning and they mentioned certain aftermarket UCA manufacturers are having this issue based on their geometry. They recommend using Total Chaos or Mazzulla Offroad. He also mentioned the steel braided tubing they provide is rather thick, so he wouldn’t worry too much about the rubbing.

Just seeing if anyone else has this issue and if there was a fix. Thanks!

can you not loosen shock fitting and rotate more inward to clear?

Loosen it and rotate it over, just dont go crazy loosening it since you dont want air to get into the shock.

So whoever installed this for you thought it's perfectly OK to have such low clearance between the suspension parts that are moving?

I plan on having them lower it. You’re right, it rides pretty damn firm

No issues here. The installer needs to re-clock that.

Icon uses a slightly smaller diameter hydraulic hose plus, as you can see from your pic vs the King, they also run a longer length of hose. Icon's mounting orientation of the remote resi being downward also helps too.

@AccuTune Offroad...would it be possible modify the Kings that are ordered from you with a slightly longer hydraulic hose and/or adjust the orientation of the fitting? Not sure if that's something you can do as a paid service when someone orders custom tuned Kings from you.

Just dropped it off at the shop. They’ll be lessening the preload, clocking the fitting slightly and adjusting the UCA’s to see if that helps. Thanks for everyone’s input.

I would not touch the line. Is under high pressure and the moment you touch that line, the high pressure nitrogen will push that oil pretty fast out. Unless you have the equipment and you can refill it yourself, then you can release the nitrogen, loose that hose and try to rotate. On top of that, those hose are very rigid and short, I would be surprised that you can twist that enough to push it away from the A arm
The easiest way is to mark the A arm where is rubbing and take it off Use a small file or a grinder and file a little bit out of that corner
Based on how beefy that arm looks is not much and should not affect the structure of the A arm

All fixed. Adjusted preload, UCA’s, and clocked the fitting

Unfortunately we don't make custom length hoses in-house, we order them from Fox/King and they usually only have preset sizes. Making specific custom changes like that cab be tricky. Thats not something we can typically offer since we cannot confirm for ourselves it will work properly without issue.
