    Same situation with the Lexus
    Will not connect
Toyota cutting cost and change from the unlimited data, reach the limit and AT&T shut it down.
But for real, 2 degrees this morning and the damn thing doesn't work. If I wanted a junk that doesn't work in the cold I would have bought a Tesla

Interesting take. That could be. Maybe not enough folks are paying the $15/month for Toyota to keep paying AT&T for the necessary bandwidth.

I just tried to login, too, I thought it was going to fail, but after 45 seconds it connected. I have not tried to start it yet, but I will soon. Need to head out and it is 12 degrees F. Oof.

I'd really have to HTFU to become a Dakotan!

things we dont have to deal with compared to other states/big cities

    1. NY sized rats, most of ours are smaller than your hand
    2. cockroaches (i rarely see any, compared to my high school days and we use to kick the water cooler to make them scramble in the lunch room)
    3. tornadoes (i've only seen 1 in ND since 1988)
    4. earthquakes (only time i know of any is when an old boeing guys use to comment on silo's shaking)
    5. crime (murders are rare and if they happen they are front page news across the state)
    6. you can tell a northern tier person when they go south during the winters, they are doing stuff the locals considered freezing temps ( i remember the family playing in the ocean during xmas in florida while visiting disney world for vacation and people looking at us weird)

thats a nutshells to good parts

what we have to deal with others dont

    1. winter (starts about october and goes thru march, but can start as early as september and as late as april, had a 33in blizzard in april in 2022 i think)
    2. only 5 major towns (only 3 are above 50k)
    3. food establishments outside of the fast food and big chains are lacking. you run into burning out on eating the same place very quickly during the winters
    4. you have to drive min 2hrs to 5hrs to get to any other major town
    5. transplants from other states either barely survive a winter or high tail it out of the state pretty fast. side effect, it keeps the riff raff out of the state
    6. you learn to drive on ice, snow and black ice (you have plenty of chances to get experience on our winters)
    7. if you are single, this is a bad state to live in, if you have family its great
    8. schools are great (side effect most kids cant wait to leave the state since there is nothing for young folks to do, doing good in school gets you a ticket out of state or to fargo or grand forks where the 2 big cities are)
    9. if you like slow easy going living ND is for you, especially if you live in the small towns like bismarck and minot or semi big cities fargo and grand forks.

    Rank City Population
    1 Fargo 127,319
    2 Bismarck 73,694
    3 Grand Forks 58,935
    4 Minot 48,038
    5 West Fargo 38,653
    6 Williston 27,783
    7 Dickinson 25,116
    8 Mandan 24,049
    9 Jamestown 15,850
