    So, some worst case questions here for those of you that have Teslas.

    1. What do you do if there is a problem with the car? Not a software issue, but say a motor burned out or something. You can't fix it yourself, and you can't just take it to any shop. Where does a broken Tesla go?
    2. Same thing if there's an accident. Can you just take your Tesla to any old body shop? I doubt it. What's that process like, especially for rural/underserved areas?

    Service centers. If you're relatively close, a Service van will come out and do the fix. If not, tow truck. It's a lot like other luxury brands that don't have a Service center in every town. Kinda like a guy at work, had to have his Acura towed 2.5 hours away

    They didn't have a Acura certified mechanic I guess, it was a transmission issue.
    But either way- Porsche, Benz, Land Rover, Jaguar etc.. not very common dealers

    I can't really blame Tesla for not putting them in this area. Oil states that get really cold generally have low opinions of EVs, so it's not like we are the target they are shooting for.

    1: Tesla usually. And if that happens, there a good chance it’s under warranty so tow and repair are covered. I don’t know of any licensed repair shops by Tesla. Some can probably fix this, but not 100%

    2: Not sure. Probably other shops I am sure as there would be an line of vehicles out the door needing bodywork if only by Tesla

    1. had a flat...used the app...summoned the Tesla gods....they had a flatbed there in 30 mins....took it to tesla service center

    2. same. Tesla will send a flatbed and bring to service center

    but no idea on rural area...I guess they take it to the nearest. tesla center

    what other Mfr can you summon, via an app, if you have ANY issue with your car?

    none! Don't even try to say on-star.

    and that's because of the evil dealership/mfr relationship.

    that's just how awesome Tesla is.

    They knew in advance that they would have to cover their own ass as it related to:
    charging
    accidents
    flats
    general support
    purchasing
    general questions

    all because they chose to usurp the dealership network mafia bullshit.

    free market finesse at it's finest.

    It's been amazing texting with a few Tesla advisors. Question after question, they don't care!
    There's great traditional car salesman who really take care of their customers, but they all try to squeeze every dollar out of you.

    Like I've said before...we bought our car on the phone in Texas Roadhouse. easy conversation.

    told them what we wanted. he looked in inventory & said we have it, but it's in San Antonio.

    they shipped it to Houston. overnight.

    got notified it was in while sitting in Popeye's Chicken.


    and every person I've spoken to speaks ENGLISH - clearly, without slang.

    Delivery was fast & fun.
