Great looking setup! Need to show some pics from behind as well.

Any chance you can take some pics of the views from the bed camera and digital rear view through the SmartCap?

    Looks awesome.

FYI you can adjust the digital rear view with the buttons on the bottom of it. You should be able to angle or crop the view through that SmartCap for a better picture.

Replaced the door handles with oem gloss black handles. No cover crap. Do it right or don’t do it.

I’m not sure what I’m going to do about the door molding since the 1794 part doesn’t come in black and as far as I know the platinum version is one piece so you can’t swap platinum for 1794.

It wasn't that bad. It took probably 30 minutes per door. The only issue I ran into was the front door cards have an extra trim piece and I did end up breaking the lower section of it, you can see where I glued it again. I think you need to pop the bottom piece off but the white push clips are in pretty firm so either buy some extras or hope for the best and yank them out.

Here are some photos to hopefully help prevent that.
    photo_2024-01-12_22-21-29.jpg photo_2024-01-12_22-21-32.jpg photo_2024-01-12_22-21-33.jpg photo_2024-01-12_22-21-35.jpg

Also, I know some people had issues with the front and the lever/latch but I don't think I had that issue and it all went on easy. Make sure you have some grease for the sliding portion of the handles.

    Parts

    69210-0C110-C0 Handle, Outside
    69210-0C100-C0 Handle, Outside
    69211-0C040-C0 Handle Front Door Out x 2

    will edit with a video.
    Edit:

    This is what I followed:

and this is the section I was referring to regarding that mechanism.

I'm keeping my 1794 chrome window trim (even though I am not a fan of it) as it blends better with the chrome 1794 door molding in my opinion. I did replace the chrome door handles and chrome mirror caps with the OEM painted ones, as well as the rear bumper inserts.

You got rid of all the other beautiful chrome, might as well rip it off to. I've seen a few guys pull it off, but haven't heard of a black replacement....yet

I say leave it. That bit of chrome doesn't look bad. I want to do the same thing to mine.

My wife and I really did not want chrome but we both really liked the interior with the brown. I don’t mind the satin finishes inside the cabin, but chrome it’s got to go.

I might go to a body shop and see what they would charge to paint the pieces or buy new ones and have them painted. I don’t know yet but the Chrome is going away.

There was grease on all of my original handles so I put a very thin amount of grease on the ends.

Yeah, my tip is to pay someone to do it! I had an experienced yota tech install it and he stated it's the one and only 3rd gen Tundra he will install a rack on.

I put some more grease on the parts that were originally greased, but only because I had the white lithium grease laying around at the time.

If you were unlucky enough to see any issues related to a lack of grease, I suspect it would be many many years down the road, if at all. Now I cant imagine it hurts to put a dab of grease on those parts if its handy, and if it isn't, one could always grab a cotton swab and pilfer some grease from the old parts then lay it onto the new.

What have I done today? Found this… passenger side rear Dobinson MRR…Haven’t even hit my 500 mile check in where the shop was going to re-tighten everything. How dangerous is this? I recently noticed some noise but thought it was my RSI smart cap… planning on taking it in Monday to the shop that did the install, should be good to drive 15 miles like this right?

Oem tonneau, side steps, spray in liner. Trd skidplate.
Tie it away from the tire and get it to the shop. Take it easy and no worries.

Does it fit in your garage? From the pictures it does not look like it will clear the garage door.

Now that you've lived with it for three weeks, pleased with it ? Which version of the Toyota stock system did you add it to ? I'm considering this for my 2023 Tundra Limited with the JBL Premium system ...

I’ve got the exact same truck. It sounds a little better, (and def louder) but it’s not ground-breaking.
