I plugged my truck in for the first time in Winterpeg and I cannot hear anything. If it's not 'hissing', how do you know it's working?

-38 C here tonight, not good.

I guess I know it’s working because of the way it starts up and idles. I do miss the hiss.

That's a great gadget to have when you live in the crappy Arctic tundra run by a dictator!

It's sold out everywhere but I got another brand/type on Amazon that looks decent. I bet there were lots available last week.

Thanks for that link. Just quick and easy when it's really cold outside to confirm your vehicle will start when you need it. Nothing is funny where Celsius and Fahrenheit meet.

I tried to get this with my platinum hybrid. I was told it’s not available for the tundra. I know defa says it’s universal. I’d like to add the trickle and buddy heater. Just not sure what to order exactly to make it all work. It’s -42 where I am right now, and I work night shifts. Even with a remote start it takes a while to really warm up the cab.

I'd go with a good quality rubber stickum pad on your oil pan. A long time ago I bought a 'wolverine' battery pad and they were rated well.

Repeated starting of an engine in -42 when it's cold isn't nice for it, I can promise that. I always am a little unsure of people who brag about their cars starting in > -20 without plugging them in, not good.

The "Plug Alive" device works great. Both lights on (red and green) means the equipment is working. I paid $21.95 CAD (member price at CAA).

If Comfort+ isn't an option, has anyone purchased just the Toyota OEM car warmer and installed it in their 2022+ Tundra? If so, was it easy to install?

It would make more sense at least to me if both LEDs were green if power is being drawn and red where there is power at all.
