Away; Ep 5-8 of 10. Netflix

La Sociedad de Nieve. Netflix

 

True Detective Seasons 1 and 3. First 20 minutes of season 2 had 6 different story lines and we just were not interested in keeping up with all that.

 

Season 1 was excellent. 2 was too weird. Hoping 3 is good.

 

When you're done, I'm interested to hear what you guys thought of season 3.

 

We done, really enjoyed it. The two man characters played well off each other. And it did setup for a continuation of the story line I thought.

 

Spoiler: True Detective Season 3 Plot

i was a little disappointed in the ending, with no opportunity for that cathartic moment when they get the bad guy. It seemed very anticlimactic to me.

 

Away; Ep 9-10 of 10. Netflix. Needs more action and less dialogue. Over dramatizes the trip of the first crew to Mars. Good acting; did not like parts of the story/narrative; too heavy on bringing religion into the story.

 

It’s an anthology series - each season is independent of the others. I was bummed too after watching an excellent 1st season. I do want to continue the series and am looking forward to the 4th.

 

There's actually a mention of the detectives from Season 1 in Season 3. So they are in the same universe.

 

For a good underrated cop-crime series, have you seen Cardinal? Out of Canada. The Mrs and I were bummed it ended at four seasons. On Hulu and Roku.

No, wife found "this is us" and has been binging it all day so I'm kinda stuck. It's driving me up a wall.

 

Bone Tomahawk. Can't believe I waited this long to see it. Badass movie! Kurt Russell needs to do more Westerns.

I thought it was okay. If they could have cut out at least an hour of it, it would have been better.

The Finest Kind on Paramount +. The BEST movie I’ve seen in a long damn time.

 

RoboCop (2014). Max. The original was better.

 

"Fool Me Once". Jury still out on this. Can't get by the idea of finding evidence in a murder case and NOT turning it over to the police and going off like some seasoned detective.
