I remember driving one of those new and it was quick for the time. Now it's just lame. haha

I think it was cheap though, about $15-18k back in the 90s.

If anyone needs a VIN decoded or to look up past DTC's / Service history, let me know. I'll help out where I can. (It'll only be available to look up while I'm at work). Just send me the full VIN and I'll send you the info back.

The service history and prior DTC's will only be available if they visited a Toyota Service center.

Ok, final update on this: Looks like Toyota Parts Overstock aka Lakeland Toyota caught their own mistake, and just refunded my $23.53 for shipping.

So now I have a Toyota-rebuilt CV axle, albeit slightly damaged and needing repair before install, at no cost out of pocket (but plenty of phone calls and time wasted).

I'd totally do business with those guys again if I needed to.

Yeah, you'll get more speed out of an on-board M.2

Let me dig through the M.2 sticks I've got. I may have some more 1TB left, and I know I have a bunch of 512. I'll check the UserBenchmark specs on any 1TB I find and find the best. I can probably drop it in the mail to you early next week. I ended up with a gaggle of the f'n things when we had to offload a fleet of 3-4yo laptops a while back.

Reformating/installing used to take hours on old HDDs.
USBdrive install to M.2, about 8 minutes I think? maybe less, it's been since 2018... whoa, i think thats a record for me not blowing out my OS.

This is just what I would do.
Check the Battery on the Motherboard.
Pull the new vid card and try to boot (use old card, that you know works)
Leave new PS installed but hook the OLD one back up and try booting.
Double check wiring that you didnt miss anything, and nothing got pinched ect..
    Just ideas
Can you get into the BIOS?
Prob should clear the bios anyway with the new CPU.

Did you leave a fan header off? Some systems, if you don’t plug the heat sink fan into the correct (and specific) CPU FAN header on the board it won’t boot up. It assumes if no fan is plugged into the CPU FAN header, the CPU will overheat, so it shuts down when BIOS executes that portion of code.

It may be reverting to your onboard graphics. Clear the CMOS, reboot, enter BOIS, disable onboard.
Or better yet, while its running like that, unplug from the graphics card and plug it into the HDMI coming out of your Motherboard.

Is it possible the CPU isn’t compatible with that board using the specific BIOS version that’s written on it?

I would update the mobo to the most recent BIOS with the old CPU installed. Then retry the new CPU. Assuming you know it’s compatible. I know the AMD chips are typically a little more forgiving/accepted across a wider generation range, but BIOS has to be specific version for BIOS to ACK the CPU.
