Hey buddy, honestly I still haven’t done it lol. After reading through many forums some people use spacers to drop the skid plate more to compensate etc… I need to do something as it annoys me heavily. Just honestly been lazy, as far as performance goes or it “being in the way” haven’t had a single issue taken this off road in the mountains of Utah

Has anyone else had the front shocks "settle in", reducing the distance between the front hub and the fender flare about 1"? When it was installed the front/rear distance between the center of the hub and bottom of the fender flare was the same when installed. I have about 8k on the lift now and I measured the front being 1" lower than the rear. Never had a lifted truck so wondering if this is normal, and what can be done to get that lost lift back? Small spacer?

ahhhhh thank youuuuuu. I just picked up nitto recon 275/65/20 yesterday and the lift goes on Tuesday. I wanted the lightest thing closest to 35 I could get and that was it (48 pounds), but I was starting to get anxiety over maybe I should have gone 35x11.5 and just dealt with the loss of mpg and power. I was afraid they might look to small in the well but I think your truck looks great! Phew thank you for the photo wifey thinks I’m insane with the amount of tire research I been doing lol. For anyone interested here’s a pic of the nitto 275/65/20 next to the stock falken 265/60/20. I can waitttttt to get em on!

looks great man I see you we t with the 285 instead of the 275 to save the weight. Any particular reason why? It’s funny I’m in the exact same boat and almost identical truck 23 1794 w OR package. I purchased the 275/65/20 to save the weight. My lift install is this Tuesday

Just want to be clear when everyone is talking about 1 or 3 year warranty they are talking about this lift itself and not the manufacturers warranty. So to also be clear this lift should NOT affect if you have an 10/100,000 with Jerry or anything correct? Sorry if this is a dumb question.

I’m also curious if this lift has different height settings or not? Seems that question has been posted a few times but not answered.

From my understanding as it was explained by a few different dealers:
If the lift was installed either at the factory or by the dealer as part of the initial vehicle purchase then everything on the lift is still covered under the factory 3yr/36k warranty. If installed after purchase any part of the lift kit is warranted for 1yr/12k. By law modifying your vehicle alone cannot simply void any manufactures/ extended warranty however, if you have a separate issue that they can point to was caused by the lift (maybe electronics/sensors) then a dealer might decline the repair under warranty. It would be up to you to fight them or toyota to prove it was not caused by the lift. This would likely depend on being a reputable dealer or not.

With the trd lift being oem and having so many extra parts included, I wouldn't worry too much and that's why I went with it. I wouldn't be worried about the suspension parts having any issues other than normal wear and tear. It's also the only kit certified for Toyota safety sense.

If you have a certain extended warranty through a dealer or something 3rd party just read the fine print or ask your dealer to be sure there's no clause about modifications.

Come on Euro, you have at least 300-350 extra lbs in the front (probably more) with the bumper, winch, lift, armor and what looks like an empty bed. It's gonna have some rake without heavier springs upfront. With heavier springs then the complaint would be it rides rough. Can't have everything. But you do have a badass SR!

Any idea if adding the TRD Pro sway bar and TRD Pro end links will allow putting the sway bar back to factory location without suspension travel limitations on TRD Lift Kit? I know that sway bar and end links are linked at a different angle. Or is there longer links on the market yet maybe? Been looking in to this but can’t seem to find the info. Thanks.

Well I had sparks install the lift and I have to say my truck is now so badass I can hardly believe it. Seriously though I LOVE it. Pics and a short vid coming out of the bay to follow. Now all I need to do is get rid of the chrome. One funny thing to note I went with 275/65/20 and realized today at full right turn I’m rubbing the sway bar. This size is even smaller than Toyota says in the paperwork. I did this for weight but also to insure I would not rub. I think cruiser had a similar issue.? I read this whole thread. Anyhow I find it funny Toyota recommends tires that will rub their own kit and also the skid design flaw is pretty lame. I found my skid plate in the bed of the truck even though I told them about how to work it. At least it looks badass and my fog lights still work lol

I apologize for not seeing any answers on this but I'm looking at getting the 'Tundra TRD lift kit from my local dealer and installed but would like to put 17x8.5 inch rims with a 35x12.50 tire on. I am willing to do a bmc if necessary. Will those size rims work because I feel it will look way better than with 20x9 inch rims. Appreciate any further assistance from those in the know. Thanks again. Cheers!

That is almost exactly what I have including trd lift, tire and wheel size plus both hybrids!
I didn’t need a bmc and have zero issues rubbing. Plus the 17” are eye catchers

Has anyone bought their truck with the trd lift kit installed from the factory? Mt question is I see they did not install the fog lights for safety reasons but did they leave all the necessary parts to just plug and play?

I did the same and went wild peaks on my 14’ from bfg forever and ever. 4Runners and tundras all had them but since my 14’ performed so well I slapped them on the 23’ as well

Lift installed at sparks I absolutely love it! I went with 275/65/20 recon grappler to save weight and love the look also. My question is is the sway bar drop bracket necessary or not? It is causing my tires to rub at full right lock even though they are smaller than Toyota recommendation. Seems pretty dumb. Some guys on Facebook are saying eliminate the drop bracket on the sway bar and it cures the rub and doesn’t cause problems. Can anyone confirm this? I’m thinking Toyota put it there for a reason, but they also obviously didn’t design it for the skid plate or for the tire size they say is acceptable so who knows. I’m just trying to decide leave the skid off or try to make it work without affecting the lift.

Does anyone know anything about the TRD shocks that come with the factory TRD lift kit? I want to get them WITHOUT the lift kit. The shocks have an adjustable clip similar to a 5100. I'm not trying to lift my truck just level and more dampening. There aren't many options for what I'm trying to do, and going OEM is always a good bet. My truck has 33" E rated tires that are obviously heavy, and the extra weight affects how the stock SR5 suspension absorbs bumps/cracks in the road. The truck handles great but i can still feel the stock shocks being a little weak. I have a 22 SR5 CM 6.5 bed, 18" wheels.
