It's got 270,000 or so miles. The internals looked great and the magnet only had a tiny amount of very fine debris.

It's hard for me to say how long it took me. I picked it up pretty quick, but I had burned 1000's of pounds of rod and wire before I ever picked up a tig torch.
The hardest part about Tig is coordinating both hands. An hour or so a few days a week and you will be able to put together some satisfactory welds in no time. Grind 3-5 tungstens at a time, because you will be dipping them :D check out Jody Collier-weldingtipsandtricks on YouTube when you get started. He is a great teacher, and I still learn a thing or two from him on occasion.

Regardless of the weld process you have got to learn how to watch and read the puddle.

eBay is great about that for sure.
One time I bought headers from eBay for a 5vz, then found em cheaper on eBay from a source in TX. I let eBay know I wanted to send it back for a full refund and why. They said ok and told me to print a slip they emailed me and to open the box and put it inside. So I did. Then the seller only refunded me half my money, citing I had opened the box. I told eBay and they paid me back in full.

Elmhurst Toyota?? As in Elmhurst Illinois??

That’s my local dealer. I’m there all the time. They’re pretty bad unless you’re buying an oil filter. Well, they might still get it wrong.

Yeah, not looking forward to this weekend. Hoping I can get the gaskets in, one SHO running and registered, PC upgraded, return a receiver, get a holster made, blah blah blah. Oh, and go grocery shopping. Lots of shit, little time.

I think some school busses probably have a better turning radius!

At that point I just need to buy a unimog for camper duty

If you like seeing random shit get cut apart and welded together to make crazy cool custom cars, you'll love it. That dude's got a hell of an imagination and fab skills to match it

That's how I roll! It's gonna start out at 16 degrees in the morning, but all the SHO needs is a charged battery(done), go inspect it(easy), and take it to the annex for a tag. By then it should be about 40 or so. That's fine for replacing the gasket. Then I can do the PC stuff once the temp starts falling. Fire up the new(ish) PC, crack a beer, then play some minecraft!

You're not wrong. I definitely had the thought of sectioning it. But then I thought bobbed long flatbed would be cool.

I used to watch Ian when it was him and Jessie combs on the 4wd show on the powerblock on motertrend TV. That had to be 20 years ago.

I'm at Discount Tire getting a rotation on the RAV4 and they are saying my lug nuts are swollen.. How rude..

These lug nuts came off a 2021 RAV4 and were included when I bought those wheels. Anyone ever hear of this?

Yep, on Chrysler products it always happened to the lugs back when I was working at the dealership. What should've been a 21mm would swell up to a 23mm.
    Cheap chinesium metal.
2021 was prime time to cost cutting measures. Makes sense

Happens on almost all two piece lug nuts, especially ones that are hammered on and off with impacts.

Sounds more like a deformation of the lug nut itself than your nuts getting swollen there @FirstGenVol according to @Festerw .

You need to have them stop pounding on your nuts there. o_O

Wait, what? I thought collector dude was coming to take all three off your hands?

Yup. Someone named "Bob" replied. The price was decent, and the part looked mint, like practically new, so I was all in. Sometimes you get remans that clearly came from a rust belt state and are all eaten up. No bueno. Actually, the one I got from Lakeland Toyota was pretty much that way. But the one Elmhurst supposedly had was nice.

What I suspect happened is they listed the thing and forgot about it. Sold it somewhere else, and didn't have the part. Printed out the label to trigger a shipment the system, then voided it and waited to see if I'll complain. If it actually arrives at my door, I'll come back and edit this, and if not ... I'm pretty sure my assumption isn't far off, based on your 2¢.
