most of the charging stops we go to are OK.

the ones built around places with food/bathrooms are best.

mind you, we've only stopped at a few. road trips to see the kids @ school.

the worst - are the ones built at HEB grocery stores. no restrooms or quick food.

There is one in Flatonia TX...Amigo's...it's a Mexican Buccee's. it's awesome.

Ponder - there is $ to be made if you had a decent Tesla charging station.

the one by us...Rudy's BBQ League City, is good. food & bathrooms. AND they are building a Great Wolf Lodge VERY close by, so I'm sure it will either be expanded or clogged up.

Houston has added a gaggle of new stations. as they should, it's dense urban. it makes owning an EV possible.

Tesla is year's ahead in every aspect.

Our neighborhood got a new entry gate controller....so if you hear an inordinate amount of cuss words coming from my direction....it's me re-programming all this shit.

For all those that have supercharged...what's the best one you stopped at?

    including non-tesla folks...best charging location.

I’ve only SC’d once in this one..at the mall, before hitting the track
Last one I SC’d at a Circle K, but I don’t recall the charging speeds

Buccees down in San Marcos has been good the couple times I used it. The one at the bakery on 35 just north side of Waco is good too. They gave Tesla drivers a free coffee if you showed your key card.

That will most likely vary based on area, time of day, charge speed, and available chargers.

Gotta say, the new Model 3 isn't near as ugly as the outgoing one. If it got the $7500 off I'd be tempted.

I'd like to get behind them, but when you produce a vehicle and can't make the lighting system last more than 18 months, that's a easy pass for me. I can't tell you how many late model KIA/Hyundai I see with LED's out.

Ya, but driven hard/fast wont have the same effects compared to an ICE car. As long as the underside looks good, tie-rods, wheels not bent, etc. should be good to go. Albeit; if it has X miles on it, those are all X SC miles, if it makes a difference to purchaser.

Yes... Some used to believe (or still do) that frequent supercharging wears out the battery. But that was proven wrong by a lot of high mileage Teslas that only used superchargers and had the same minimal battery degradation as Teslas that rarely supercharged.

When I would charge at SC for about 280 miles of range it would be around $12-15. Not bad when you consider my Tundra would only get like 45-60 miles on $12-15 of gas.
