Removed pickup bed. Built a flatbed for it. Made mounts for truck mirrors. Painted safety orange.
    I own a 02 tundra regular cab v6 automatic.
How can I install a cruise control onto it?
    1. Would any 1 Gen tundra with cruise control at the junkyard control be plug and play onto mine?
    2. Or get a universal kit from Amazon?
    Thanks

02.. I’m not too sure. Aftermarket ones universally suck. You may need a complete donor car worth of wiring. Or just the components.

For what it’s worth, I bought a Mazda 3 new in 08, it didn’t come with cruise control. Told salesman I’d buy it if they added cruise control. They sent me to a stereo shop on their dime and an aftermarket cruise control was put in. I never had a single issue with it and it worked great. I did end up with an extra little “stalk” off the steering column though.

00-02 Tundras have a throttle cable. You need components from those.

^^^THIS^^^ I looked into it. It would require many components off of a donor vehicle. I stopped looking into it :smash:

I used a choke lever from an edger for a kinda cruise control on my blazer, but its not speed regulated, just constant throttle.

I always wanted to do this to my 1st gen taco. Never got around to needing it offroad but it would have been nice when in the rocks, since mine is manual trans.
