    Good Evening,

I have a white 2003 RCLB SR5 that has a painted front bumper. The trim on my truck includes the bright wheel opening mouldings around the front fenders and the bedsides.

I may have an opportunity to purchase from a yard here in town the black fender flares off of a 2002 AC with a chrome front bumper.

Would these work on my truck? Thanks in advance for any advice.

Should work. Make sure you get all the hardware too.

your fenders don't have the square holes for the mounting clips, so you will need fenders too.

Well that makes it a deal breaker. The right fender is wasted. Thanks for the info.

Yeah, I mean it could be done. Cant drill a square hole though so it would be a lot of handwork with a file. Between that and nailing the layout, or using some kind of non oem fastener it would be a real pain in the dick.

I could be wrong here, but I think it's been done. Probably just gotta drill bigger holes and get creative with the fasteners.

Do the bed side panels also have square holes?

So... maybe plastic rivets versus Toyota's clips? It looks like there's a gasket between the fender and the flare so it is critical to get these with the flares?

Greenlee makes a square knockout punch. I've got the kit for it IIRC.

    Good Morning,

Could you expand on this? So, you've done it before and I have access to a Greenlee punch set I just may need to find a square punch. How did you transfer the locations from the flare onto the fenders?

I haven't done the work. And for what you'll pay for the proper Greenlee punch ($250 for a single 1/2" square punch), you're better off just finding a truck with good front fenders. I'm not even sure if Greenlee makes a punch small enough, the smallest I have is 1/2" and I think the fender holes are smaller. And that's assuming they only use one size hole, which I'm not sure is true because there's three different colored inserts for the fender (red, blue, orange or yellow IIRC).

Let's say you had the punch. You'd need to perfectly align the fender flare, center-punch each hole, drill each hole for the punch to insert, punch the hole, sand and treat/paint the hole to prevent rust, then pop in the inserts and install the fender.

Honestly? Not worth the work. Spend that time and pain casually hunting for a parts truck that has the fenders. www.car-part.com should strum up a list nearby but I've also found a lot of parts trucks with nice stuff on Facebook Marketplace by simply punching in "tundra parts" and filtering the results down to postings from the last 7 days only. You'll get a lot of results, but I haven't had great luck using modifiers like "tundra access parts" (since access cab was a shorter term/run than others), but you may try that too.

Thanks Shifty. Your suggestion on finding replacement fenders makes sense provided the paint matches. The bedside is a different animal however.

You just need something like this: $1,200 and you could have a whole parts truck. I saw one other for $2k, but it's a DC so it wouldn't work for you: But yeah ... these are complete trucks, 2nd one w/o a title. But it just goes to show you what you could have, and can find on FBM.

There's just as many parts trucks on FBM.
