    Leveling kit
    Hey yall,
So I have a 2009 Rock Warrior and I absolutely love the truck. Before I ended up in my current career I was a mechanic for Dodge as well as Harley, I have driven many different trucks and I will never own anything other than Tundra from now on. Now my problem is this and I apologize for beating a dead horse but I have read and read and just cant decide. My truck has a 3/1 leveling kit currently that was on it when I purchased it, I upgraded to 35" tires. I am really considering going to a 6" lift but I just cant decide. The cutting of the cross-member and all of that doesn't worry me at all but Im trying to decide about the other stuff. I have also considered going to the 4.5" or so which I know still requires cutting. For those that have done a 6" what else did you change. I know the cross-member and differential drop etc. How about upper and lower control arms, tie rods, sway bar that type of stuff. I will say this truck is only on the road as I have another truck and a jeep that I do my offroading with. The only time this truck is offroad is if i take it out on the beach. Sorry for talking to much I just truly cant decide the direction I want to go and since Im fairly new to the tundras (1 year now) I wanted to reach out to the pros haha. Thanks everyone!

All boils down to what you want to do with the truck.

If it were mine, I’d take that money you were going to spend on a 6” bracket lift and buy really good shocks and UCAs. You’ll be in the 3” range, clear your 35s just fine (wheel offset is important!), and have a much more capable truck.
