This might be a dumb question, but does anyone know if genuine TRD Pro center caps are compatible with SCS wheels? Specifically the Ray 10.

I have TRD Sport Premium with factory 20" wheels. I wanted to confirm before I go ahead and order the TRD Pro center caps. Thank you!

Thank you kindly for the info. All the ones that I've seen online must be overlay decals. Now that I have you here, is there any plan to offer the black beadlock bolts again?

I didn't want to permantly modify mine by properly painting them the proper way, but I'm not much of a fan of the flashy bolts. I like more of a discreet look when it comes to the bolts. Plastidip is not versatile enough to withstand the elements so that isn't really an option. Thank you again as it is greatly appreciated!

*For what it's worth, I couldn't be more pleased with the quality and finish of the SCS Ray 10 wheels. They far exceeded my expectations for the price of the complete set. I can't highly recommend them enough to everyone that is looking for new wheels.

    Kindest Regards

Sorry, but there are no plans to offer black bolts. We do sell replacement stainless steel bolts so you can always try getting your set powder coated and if they do not work out, you can purchase replacements from us.

Thank you for the prompt response! That is definitely an option. It's only a concern if I were to sell my truck, but I could always include an unmodified replacement set. Thank you again!

Looking for a new set of black lug nuts. The Black lug nuts I purchased from SCS 4 years ago are looking rough and I dont want them to fail. Own the 18x9 SCS Rays in black.

Hi all, does anyone one has pictures of Ray10 with 37 inch tires on Tundra? Please share, need to decide within next couple days either to stay with 35 or move up to 37.

Just go 37s. Don’t do what I did. You’ll eventually move up so might as well do it right away. Save the headaches and money.

There were two individuals, one being @STravis who ran 37x11.5 on 18s but Nitto doesnt make that tire size anymore. 37s on 18s seems to be a very rare occurrence on our trucks given the cost and lack of options.

Another option is 315/70r18. Yokohama and toyos make an MT in that size which is closer to a 36” tire.

I ran the 37x11.50 nittos for a while. I ended up going to 17's though just due to tire availability. If these wheels came in 17's for the tundra they would be on my truck still.

What length lug nuts should I get with the ray 10s? I was going to order them directly from scs, but they’re sold out. The pic the show for the m14x1.5 is 1.48” long, but that seems short. Is that the correct length lug nut for the ray 10?

Since the OEM wheel studs are on the short side, you’re only going to have about 6 full threads of engagement on the front end. A 1/2” long nut will do as much as their 1.48” option.

    Scary, huh??

If you’d like to take advantage of the longer lug nuts, you’ll need to replace studs. At least on the front.

I know when I ordered my SR8's I used the M14x1.5 option and have had no issues. Haven't had a wheel fly off yet!

On your 2020 SR5 CrewMax? It should be a M14x1.5 thread, M14 being the diameter of 14mm and 1.5 being the thread pitch of 1.5mm between threads.

Yep you're right my mistake. It is the M14x1.5 but it does not look short and stubby like the picture of the one on the SCS website.

I do not have my nuts in hand, but I did compare them to the ones that Discount installed with my KMC wheels a few years ago.

Nuts from SCS are a touch longer (less than 1/8”) than what I currently have. I installed the super long wheel studs from Japan and the KMC nuts are long enough. The SCS are even longer.

What I’m saying is that they are longer than an aftermarket super long wheel stud. You should not need longer than the SCS offering.

I have the SCS black lug nuts and after 40,000 miles, 7-8 tire rotations they are beat and need to be replaced. Can anyone share a link to a black set that are recommended?

Any chance of the brushed gold coming back for this wheel or on the f5's?

Has anyone tried or considered Allen head bolts to replace the ones on the trim ring. They come in black anodized and i think would look good except for holding dirt.

Anyone have any issues with tire shops scratching or scraping these wheels when installing? I have a new set to have installed and will be using discount tire. I am old school so I assume they have tire machines now made for nice painted wheels. I have still read horror stories of them messing up nice wheels

Not the Ray 10's (SR8) but these have been on since 2017...3rd set of tires and rotated every 4 months or so by Discount. Not a single scratch from them.

Over the summer we had a set of tires installed on my wifes TrailBoss at discount tire and the rims are black, no issues.

Previously I had tires installed on my Civic and my wifes Yukon at Costco and both times they damaged the rims. On my Civic it was a single rim that had just been powder coated, they paid to get it recoated. Then I had a new set of rims for my wifes Yukon, they scratched two, and they paid to have all 4 powdered coated. After powder coating I took the rims and tires somewhere else to get mounted.

If you go to discount you want them to use the "touchless" machine. The touchless machine is a little different than the traditional tire mounting machine. Discount mounted the tires to my new wheels without any scratches... they did break one of my oem tire pressure sensor which I wasn't happy about but they replaced it with one of their sensor and all is well. Good luck finding a tire shop you can trust.

I have a new set of Ray10s I haven't had mounted yet. Just a few thoughts on these.

The packaging on these is tops. They boxed, wrapped, protected and banded and I think they could drop them off the truck and it wouldn't hurt them.

The finish is also incredible and the paint job is better than I have seen on many new Chevy or Ford trucks in the showrooms.

I havent weighed these but they seem pretty heavy. I am getting old too so maybe they arent as much as the stock wheels.

I just ceramic coated my new set both inside and out in order to try and protect the nice finish and hopefully keep brake dust from messing them up. The ceramic maybe darkened the gunmetal color of the wheels just a bit and I think they will compliment my MGM colored truck.

Does anyone have 285/70r18 or 295/70r18 tires on their wheels with factory lift? If so any rubbing? And could you post pics?

Time to get some new wheels and I currently have 275/65r18.

During my research I found this thread... I literally looked through every page making sure the tire size and tire brand is what I want my truck to look on Ray10 wheels.

    Good luck on your decision.

I can’t believe how long I’ve waited with mine! Just realized that I bought my Gunmetal Ray 10s nearly 9 months ago and still haven’t put them on my truck! lol.
You’re gonna love them. Very nice looking wheels.
