I have the exact same cover, installed it a couple of weeks ago. No rattles yet. Do you know the source of the rattle?

I think the rattling is coming from the curled up spare portion of the top that rests in the cover can,not the rails,it's pretty tight.
It has been water tight in the auto car wash and also the touchless car washes,I'm pleased with the overall proformance of it,so I'm chalking it up as a nit pick 1st world gripe.
Glad to hear that yours is quite & I think you'll be happy with it.

    @ta1on

Wheels etc... are noted in my signature. They are flow formed wheels and come from a Canadian company. The fit is great.

Please help me here, but I don’t see anyone’s signature. I’m on the mobile website version. I’m not on Tapatalk. Do they only show up on the computer version? Thanks!

I have the Bak MX4 too. Solid construction and allows you to use existing cargo rails. One word of caution.... this thing is not waterproof. You will still get some leaks from time to time. What it does give you though is peace of mind knowing items are secured in the back when the tailgate is closed and locked. Worked great for long road trips and in heavy rain. Bought it on Amazon but realtrucks.com is the main builder of these.

Just installed mine a few days ago, on the Tundra. The fit is very good! Actually better than the Ram trucks! I’ve had nothing but good luck with the MX4. I’m wanting to say this number 5 for me!

Shopping for a bedcover. So many nice products, tough to decide, appreciate the threads on the subject. I have narrowed it down to a few. Anyone have or recommend the Leer HF650M? Viewed hands-on at local retail shop, i like the latching system among other things. I searched the forum, no results on this one, so reaching out. I want to confirm will still be able to keep and use the OEM bedrail Cleats that came with my truck and also make sure the third brake light/bed light are not covered when the bedcover is fully open. TIA

Can the existing rails remain or do you have to relocate them? Sorry if I missed that somewhere. I’d rather keep my rails in same factory position and be able to use clip on tie downs as well. But love your cover!

The existing rails remain in place. Have had it for a year now and still like it.

Just to add another option here for folks searching in the future...

This is the Pace Edwards Ultragroove (non-electric) on our 24 Limited Hybrid Crewmax 5.5 bed. We bought it from tonneaucovered.com and got a good price on it. They did not have it in stock at the time, so it took a while to ship, but I'm happy with it. Installed it myself on a Saturday morning in about 2-3 hours. We just had Debby come through yesterday and there was very little water in the bed. We also added a rack (no-name from Amazon) to carry our kayaks.

ETA: With the Ultragroove, I had to remove the front rail and drill holes for water tubes. In the front of the bed, I just enlarged the corner drain holes, and at the rear end, I drilled through the side and ran the tubes down and zip-tied them to a cross-member. The cover mounts into the side rails, and we are still able to use the Toyota-provided tie-downs.

I am a big fan of using RealTruck.com and will also recommend the Bakflip products. I like the revolver covers better than the tri fold.

 And you don't need drain tube's with the Revolver.

It does not lock. You have to open the tailgate in order to open the cover though. I'd say it's just as secure as any topper/cover I've ever had. I'm sure it would come open with a decent size pry bar if someone wanted to get in, but that could be said of most anything.

PNW #8 pic above i see OEM rails and cleats for BAK MX4, but when I go to order this, the website has wording to remove cleats and can't reinstall them. Is this accurate?? Maybe you installed after installation in a place that would not interfere with cover

Here’s another option. SyneticUSA MR. Got it for $1k. They have great reviews, the canister is smaller than other brands that are twice the price. I can open it without dropping the tailgate and it locks in place when partially open. Install was easy, had a question and got great service via a call to customer support. Only downside is the tracks go all the way to the cab but they’re covered by the canister cover for 10” from the cab. You can get their AR version and the tracks go all the way to the cab but I didn’t want to have to open the tailgate to open the cover. I have a very specific setup I want to end up with so this took a lot of research to make work. I mounted my bike fork mounts (rockymount) to the canister cover, super solid. Keeps my bikes (triathlon bike included) bars back far enough that I can add an Elevate rack later for SUP’s and my kayak when towing our travel trailer. I’ll have to drill holes through the canister cover to mount the front elevate base close to the cab for clearance. When I get around to doing this later this spring I’ll report back. I’ve been in contact with realtruck getting dimensions for the base of the elevate rack, and others on this site so I’m 99% sure this setup will work.

Thanks but after i saw the second picture with the drains, this is not for me. I am not drilling into my truck bed unless 100% required. Glad this setup works great for you though...I would have never thought putting a bed cover on would take so much time
    My requirements are:
    No drilling
Use existing OEM rails that came with the truck (bak MX4 i saw in one of these posts pictures but when i go to order it reads no existing OEM cleats/rails and cannot be added post install)
    Waterproof versus water resistant
Looks like no one makes a cover that just a single section closest to tailgate opens for coolers so will have to go with 2/3 bed opening

Where you see the drain tubes exit is through existing 1/4” holes. I opened them up to 3/4” to accommodate the drain tubes. You would have to drill new holes near the tailgate for this cover though. I get not wanting to drill. To me it’s no big deal, but your truck is your truck, not mine. FYI for anyone who has to drill I would recommend a different bit than I used. The composite didn’t cut the way I hoped with a standard drill bit. Maybe a hole saw would be better?

That cover is really nice! Where do I find those bed racks on top?
