Yesterday and today I noticed no road details in my info screen. Why? I rebooted several times but still no road information. Any help sincerely appreciated. See attached pic.

Any change when you zoom in or out?

Here's a stupid question, is your subscription current? As the Toyota mapping is pay to play basis. Should be complimentary only for 1 year from Toyotas documented "date of first use". Does your smart phone mapping come through in Android Auto or Carplay?

Just a thought as I'm only 8 months into my complimentary Toyota connected services subscription. I guess I don't know what happens when it lapses. Just not sure yet whether it's worth the $15 a month when my Smart phone Android Auto interface mapping seems as good if not better (route planning wise)

2023 tundra was bought new 06/09/23. 5000 miles so far. Subscription still free till next June. Doesn't matter if I zoom in or out...no roads. It was working 2 days ago.

Android auto works but I prefer the Subscription since it's free for now. I'll put this on my list to fix with dealer warranty stuff.

In the US, do you only get 1 year subscription included with your purchase? In Canada I am pretty sure we get 3 years.

This is exactly what we are facing! Idk what the deal is but I don't like it. Our subscription is still the "free" version. I haven't found any answers yet. May call my local service center Wednesday.

I thought 3 years sucked considering the cost of these trucks. 1 year is just terrible.

Mine did that once and stayed like that till I got to my destination 15 minutes later. When I restarted the truck it was back alive and never did it again

Just got my truck last week and mine is doing that. Really annoying, although I can just use the android auto map. Mine will sometimes show the roads, but only after a few minutes after starting. Then it will have squares that don't have roads. How exactly do you reset it?

I'm now having the same issue. Was there a fix to this, besides seeing your dealer ?

I'm on my way home from Xmas w/inlaws. The road info came back briefly, 1 hour, then went blank. Then the program destination to our hotel was erased when it was recalculating the route....over and over. I rebooted while driving then it asked for my PIN number several times. OMG.

Then it erased all of my saved and sent to vehicle settings. I ended up asking destination assist to send directions to us for our hotel. It did so and we arrived ok.
Definitely a trip to the dealer next week. What a cluster.

Yeah, but it takes more Canadian years to equal an American year, just like CAD to USD. Lol.

My truck is in shop today, they said they will look into the Nav no roads issue, do the fuel line recall, and my front air spoiler malfunction. Only thing they said they don't have a fix for is my creaky driver seat.

Oddly enough, they said Toyota doesn't allow loaner vehicles. I call BS on that. Never had a recall done where they don't issue a loaner vehicle. Truck has 10,000 miles on it.

They did give me a brand new 1794 as the loaner. Front spoiler had to have a new motor replaced, they updated the software on my Nav screen, I'll let you know if that works. Also did the recall on the fuel line.

Well, tech said I had the latest update. Can't believe what he told me about the blanked out areas. He literally said to use a more reliable app for maps such as Apple Car Play, waze or Google maps. That was their solution. Did get the recall done, although it says it's just an interim fix.

I'll let you know what my tech rep says when I bring it in next week. I still have no road names when in use. I certainly did before. Android auto works fine but I don't always want to use it. This at least confirms I won't be buying the subscription service when it expires.

Toyota tech recommended I call SOS ask for connections services to walk me through this issue. I replied, no, I'm bringing it in to document this issue under warranty and you can run a diagnostic on it. Then and only then you can call me crazy.

That's actually the better way to go. I've read elsewhere SOS is able to remedy alot of issues vs the dealership.

Beats waiting on a toss up at the dealership. I remember reading some members hear having issues with subscriptions and SOS was able to correct it live. I would assume they have direct access to the account and the truck information system.

SOS services reps probably have tons more hands on experience with the multimedia issues than the average dealer techs.

Gray Hawk... I'm having same issue with my Tundra. I get details on streets in some areas and then the roads disappear from the map. It was uncanny because the navigation system would direct me through the turns but the map wouldn't show the streets. Took it to the dealer today and was told that the system was functioning properly. I was a little perplexed... so the maps aren't supposed to download consistent? Seriously, that's the answer from the dealership. They said they filed a report with main Toyota. I refused to sign for the truck and asked them to test the map function in another truck to see if it's just the area not showing and it's a flaw in map design or whether it's just the head unit for my truck. Still waiting to hear back on that. Would like to know if you had any luck with the SOS tactic. Just wanted to let you know that you aren't the only one with the issue.
