We had an Akita/Husky mix. He was total "Jersey Shore", loved his chains/bling. He'd get upset if you took off his collar (Dude! My chains, give 'em back!) Looking at this A.I., I think your husky has the same love of bling. LOL.

Alright I'm getting back on the wagon, it's been a shitty couple years and I've ballooned from about 185 to 235lbs. Not quite my highest weight but closer than I'd like.

I've got about a 1/4 bottle of Tito's left and once that's gone I'm not bringing home any booze until 4th of July. No beer unless I'm out at a restaurant and I'm cutting back eating out to at most twice a week.

I've dropped 75lbs before and I know the first couple weeks are the worst.

Hi, Im Jake Jake, and Im an idiot.

Set out to replace the front output seal on the transfercase yesterday morning. Everything is going smooth and Im to the point that I *should* roll out from under the truck and get the proper pinion holding tool out of the box. "Ill just use this chisel against the case and break that pinion nut loose goosey"

    !CRACK!

Well shit. I knew better, but shit.

Ebay t-case $330 shipped from Houston, so I should have it relatively quick.

    Don't be like JakeJake.

We're doing dry January too. I'm just kind of tired of alcohol to be honest. I'm tired of feeling crappy the next day and I'm tired of wasting money on it. I also don't think I'm the best version of myself when I have a buzz. My friend was recently telling me how he likes a specific beer because he can drink a 12 pack and still drive home from the lake. I didn't say anything but I was thinking that's the sign of someone who has a drinking problem. Plus it's just horrible for us.

Yall can send your booze to me.

The last time i quit, i had thrown a little tantrum, because i have good friends than know when i should stay the night.

the time before that was the motorcycle wreck.

figured it would be time to quit again if i lost some fingers playing with fireworks, but that woulda been a waste because my cousin gave me a bottle of green river bourbon i havent opened yet....probably explains all the fingers.

She's definitely not super stout through there. That boss would probably suffer a worse fate if you hit it with a trail obstacle. I do plan on cleaning it up, disassembling, and welding the case back together at some point in the future. I'll grab some pics/measurements of the case thickness when I do.

I lost my mom to it back in 2021. I've been dry since that day; it just doesn't taste the same anymore. Don't hesitate to reach out. I'll even send you my cell# if you need to ring up someone when the urge hits.

I've got friends like that too, like bro c'mon with that.

I've cut back in the last few months but I've realized I'm just drinking it because I'm bored and it's in the fridge. Switched up and started buying flavored seltzer water to have on hand.

When I was a service advisor, I started drinking to wind down from the day. Now I drink because I'm an addict. I don't drink at work, but I do start off with it in my coffee. I drink when I get home and I drink from sun up to sun down on the weekends.

Yesterday was the first day without any alcohol in years. Today is day 2. One day at a time.

    I have faith in you.
I've had temptation to use in my heart before and just knowing someone else had faith in me gave me the willpower to fight the temptation to use.
Maybe that will help you. I wish I could do more. You already know where to reach me. :fistbump:

Yeah that's no bueno. My uncle decided he had to quit when he realized he knew exactly how many drinks he could have to still make it to work in the morning.

Good on you for realizing it's a problem and working to solve it.

When I was a kid, I knew my dad had a problem when he started cracking beers before lunchtime. Alcohol has always been recreational for me, and "day drinking" (or even worse, morning drinking) would be a huge red flag there was a problem. If you need booze to start your day, I think you officially qualify as a functional alcoholic, I think.

I'm a beer hound. I love hops, hops, hops. But not the bullshit that they put in most beers with no flavor, there are as many flavors of hops as there sodas with variations that are pretty damn stark.

That nonsense with the mass in my throat last year had me in a space where I really couldn't drink without regretting it. I basically stopped drinking for quite a few weeks over the 4 month period that was unravelling. I felt so much better after, and decided to start limiting myself to either two beers over the course of a week. That's gone down to 1 beer per week. I still have a cocktail and sometimes a beer when we go out to eat, which usually isn't more than 1-2 days per week (I cook most of the time).

I still like to (and will, and do) go to breweries to try beers.

I still may have the occasional bent where I have 3-4 beers in a night.

On NYE, the extent of my drinking was a single bourbon cream & root beer, because that's what everyone was having in their floats after eating.

I still feel like an asshole after seeing @Casper421 roll off the wagon after I was gushing about Cooperage brewing, I didn't know he was dry. I miss having that dude around.
