Installing a hidden light bar in the bumper area. Removed the bumper and noticed an unused white connector on the front passenger side. What is it for? Thanks guys!

    Alot of them
These trucks have alot of unused connectors as they are pre-wired for the different trim levels.

If I am not mistaken, that is a connector for the factory SONAR parking sensors which some trucks do come with BSM and Parking sensors, @RainMan_PNW added this to his TRD pro tundra and I am also interested in adding it to my 2019 Tundra Limited, I came from a 2017 Tundra Platinum and I liked the BSM a lot, I also now own a 2016 Tundra 1794 as well and it has it installed from the factory

That connector is part of the parking sonar wiring. There’s an extension harness that runs from that connector to the front passenger sonar sensor. The engine bay main wiring harness is the same for trucks that do and don’t have the system installed, so that part of the wiring is already there.

Is that something easily added with the correct Toyota parts? Is it even worth it? I have an aftermarket rear backup alarm, which is helpful.

Here are 2 threads that @RainMan_PNW created when he added his factory sonar sensors and factory BSM, huge credit to him to do it in his own truck, if you are good with your hands with technology and automotive, it is very easy, keep in mind that with the SONAR sensors you do need to replace the instrument cluster with one that has the SONAR programming, he lists the part numbers and the instructions to install it, I also happen to know how to read wiring diagrams and have the tundra wiring diagrams downloaded, here are the links to the threads

Can it be added with the correct parts? Yes
Easily? Well, it’s certainly easier now that I’ve figured out all the things that must be done. But it’s not plug and play.
Worth it? That’s up to you. For me - no. There’s a lot of other mods that could be done for the price tag.
