@shifty` always does seem to be a year ahead of us

 

Its not our fault they celebrate too soon.

 

Cod was a euphemism in that case.

 

2023 was an odd year. Mostly because ended in 3.

VERY nice! So what diameter copper, and which thickness did you go with? I need to plumb my whole shop for air, and i'm thinking about doing it in copper this time.

That 3/4" copper loop serves the plasma. When I built the plasma table guys were raving about it helping drop moisture out of the lines. Im not convinced that it does any better than the black/galv steel I use everywhere else.

 

Yeah I don’t know if I buy that either, our shop at work is all copper with like 6 or more separators at different parts of the shop. We also have a automatic purge valve for the main tank, it scares the shit out of anyone who’s not used to it…… so everyone. One day I made a sweet triple tone whistle out of pvc and attached it to the purge line. It kinda sounded like the shift whistle from the flinstones

Here is 24 hours in Evap-o-rust if it helps you out. You can see the clear line where the stuff went up to. I had them sitting in a very tall Pilsner glass but finding a skinny container that's tall enough was a challenge.

This stuff is re-usable, so you just need to find a suitable container. You can dump it anywhere, it's environmentally safe. Brush off your item, soak your stuff in it, pull it out and rinse with cool water. Be careful with it around decals and anodized aluminum parts. Before for the smaller wrench on the left; I think I shot the wrong side. Both sides were pretty rough.

Anyway, you get the idea. The stuff is no joke. I've been using it on tools for a long time. Read on a bike forum that a frisbee makes a good soaking tray. I can confirm this is true.
