IMG_0439.jpg I ordered wheel caps from Ebay. Looked right but wouldn't fit my factory wheels. Anybody had this problem and found a solution?

The cap in your hand looks like it's for the 17" alloy '5 spoke split' OEM wheels. The wheels on your truck look like they're from a Tacoma or other, although I can't fully tell from this angle.

Welcome to the site. Something catches my eye here... what style of lug nuts are you using? The beveled "acorn" type, or the hubcentric lugs?

@BubbaW was awesome enough to post all years of Tundra brochures over here.

The brochures have wheel options included with our trucks that look like this one he posted for the 2001 model year: https://www.tundras.com/threads/what-were-the-first-gen-wheel-options.124179/#post-3179895

Sadly, I don't see any similar wheels showing for the 2006 brochure. Those wheels on your truck look almost like (but aren't, I don't think) the 6-spokes that came on the '03-'09 4Runner. And searching Google Images for Toyota OEM 6 spoke 16" wheel isn't giving me any results that match exactly. A few close ones, but no exact matches. Is it possible it's not a Toyota wheel?

PS: I have a reputation for being very shitty at figuring out OEM wheels. Take the above with a grain of salt.

So as a service manager for an automotive dealership that has a very large used car department, I do not recognize that wheel has being a Toyota wheel. I deal in 30 plus non-Subaru (my dealer) vehicles every day. Yes, it is very close to the six spoke Tacoma, 4runner wheel that you purchased the center cap for. Obviously, not the same wheel. At this point, I have to agree that it is not a Toyota wheel.

At this point, if you want Toyota wheels with a center cap, check marketplace. $400 is about the going rate for wheels without tires. $700 -$900 is about the going rate for wheels with okay tires depending on the tires. Obviously higher priced for specialty tires and new tires.

I dunno, I looked in the ‘04 brochure and this is not one of the 5 available wheels listed … if it’s Toyota, I don’t think it’s from a Tundra.

They're port installed option wheels. I'm not sure from what region though. I'd have to have the vin of a truck that came with them preinstalled to ID where they came from.
