Had it once about 15 years ago.
It was like a bacon wrapped ribeye.
I thought it would lean more towards turkey, until it was quick seared then slow cooked.

 

so he said to sear it on both sides but don’t over do it, and in a oven @375 for 3-4 minutes- don’t over cook it. Hahah he’s like I know if you over cooked it by your reaction to it. Also gave a stir fry kinda way to cook it too which sounds good

 

I have an 8lb prime rib I am cooking - can’t decide if I am using convection oven or smoker. Read a lot of reviews and am leaning toward the smoker. 10 cloves of garlic, salt, pepper, thyme and olive oil rub……

 

Never tried it. No open seasons in Washington before I moved. Doubt it's open in Idaho. I'd love to go to Texas to try it. It's a migratory bird, but the numbers are not like Alaska or down south. But I have seen them around the Tri-Cities area back home. Big migratory hotspot with the snake and Columbia rivers merging.

 

There should be no question here.
Sear and then smoke.
