Hey all...just thought I would post a pic of my Tundra with my light bar that I added. I took a light bar off of a GMC, removed the side plates and was able to install it on the top of the box and still have my tonneau cover work.

Honest opinions if you all like it or not...I can have it off in about 10 Min.

Getting it leveled out this week and new tires as well. Would like to possibly add lights to the top of the bar.

    Thanks!

It only illuminates outside the visible light spectrum but it is on there, right there.

A few... Definitely more than 2
I think OP is referring to the headache rack that GMC/Chevy mounts lights to up top right behind the cab... It is a bar, that will have lights... I think...

    P.S.
Not my cup of tea but do what makes you happy. Who cares what others think if you like it :notsure:

Yes it’s the quarter of view of the truck. I understand that. It’s the best picture I had to show it at the moment. If you look behind the cab, you will see the light bar/roll bar look. It’s a big enough picture I thought you could see it.

The confusion comes from you showing a picture of a roll bar. Thats not a light bar.

a rollbar actually mounts to the bed of the truck and prevents the cab from collapsing in a rollover. This is just sitting on the rails of the box like a light bar. so it’s a light bar that looks like a rollbar.

The crowd that actually will get that reference is thinning by the day! I’d still love an all black raised Taco like Marty’s in the movie completely restored!!!

    Hey Bosty2,
I for one love the look and want to do this exact same thing to my 2017 with a Truxedo Lo Pro tonneau cover. Most bars I see have "risers" that make the bar look dopey - I'm looking for something that I can mount flush to the top of the bed just like yours so it doesn't look like an aftermarket afterthought or stick up 4+ inches above the roofline.
Would appreciate any info you can share on the make/model of the bar your bought and what mods (to the bar and/or the box) you had to do to mount securely (pics?) on top of the box along with a tonneau- I've heard the top of the box (under the plastic cladding) is lightweighted by a bunch of holes so not a great mounting surface to try and bolt through vertically...
    Thanks,
