I don't have an EV but some of your points are ridiculous, you can apply those same metrics to truck vs sedan.

You can't fill your truck up at home so unless you're driving more than 300 miles a day the fill up time is irrelevant.

I pay $40 to fill my Altima, and the tires cost half of the ones for your Tundra.

What about when you need a new engine? From Toyota the new block assembly is $9k.

Plus I look to see how far to empty my car is every time I get in. I drive 50 miles round trip to work and back so it's a good reminder of when I need to fill up.

I remember when people said these same things about the Prius.

Whatever this forum told me to do

good point on fillups. my wife has NEVER been to a station to "fill up". she leaves with a full tank every time.

traveling? Tesla chargers rule. we filled up in 16 minutes at Bastrop Buccee's....250kw units. we plugged in, went into to get my beaver nuggets and such....we came back out to the car & bam...it was done.

    There is a place for EV's. (1st place in a 1/4mile race)

    open your mind.

    get busy livin'.

    life is good.

Looking for someone to race? That's a stupid reply. Looking for someone to race lol.
I could sit in my truck, start her up and just listen to the exhaust. Music to my ears. How does your exhaust sound? Oh wait there isn't any. Boring Can't wait till the Hells Angels switch to EV bikes lol yeah they would sure look tough going down the road in there EV bikes lol. No way Jose.
Gas is the only way to go. Atleast it is for me
We have a choice now, gas or electric gas for me and electric for you plus is it me or are they very ugly to look at? EVs I'm talking about.
Someone said 1st place in the 1/4 mile, it's a differant power supply so that doesn't count it's like saying a motor cycle is faster than a vett in the 1/4 milke. Differant animal. EVs should only be compared to EVs. Gas to gas. Bike to bike .

They each have their spot in the automotive world, both are awesome.
Looks are very subjective, there are some gas cars you couldn't pay me to drive.

When did he (or anyone) claim to sit there and enjoy listening to their exhaust? You know you drive a Tundra (assuming) and not some Z06 Vette that’s tuned and hearing the exhaust crackling, right?
Different power supply? Dude. A race is a race. Guess what? There’s plenty of FWD vs RWD vs AWD.
Your views, since you have posted, make you appear uneducated on many aspects of EV’s.

Ah, I found the issue. You’re scared of technology. How long did it take you to type your previous posts with one finger on the keyboard?

In all fairness, I get to work on some very sophisticated computer controlled, state of the art test equipment that most folks wouldn't know what it is, let alone how to turn it on. Not only myself but five( four actually, one of us finally retired recently) other boomers in the lab since it's hard to find and hire post boomers that can get the job done. A sad state of affairs' that will bite all of us in the ass at some point. Ha!!!

    Wait a minute!

For the record, I do not have an EV and have never driven one besides a golf cart. I don't plan to get one, but I don't think I'm better or lesser than anyone for not having an EV. 2 Strokes I'm happy to not have to mess with anymore.

I'm all about freedom so I hope EVs are never federally mandated, it's not looking so great on the state level.

I'm hoping to get an EV soon, staying diversified in your transportation is always a good thing. You can have a power outage with an EV or a gas shortage/ price spike with an ICE car. I hope to have both options available for my lifetime.

Open your mind up just a bit, it might feel good. ;)

No way would I own one they are ugly, boring and dangerous in my eyes
    Case closed.
