Gauges in my Tacoma were backlit even when the headlights were off. I was driving around the block yesterday after installing my 6112s. It was cloudy and gauges seemed hard to read.

Not backlit without at least parking lights on the Tundra. Pretty stupid I know.

    Not nearly enough room here!
Might be another "Safety Concern" from Toyota in the newer years:rolleyes:. In 2010 the SR5 offered full-time backlighted dash, driver's side grab handle, lights in the door bottoms and sliding console. There are plenty more features for the Beancounters at Toyota to delete before they're done. I look for the Sequential Shifter to get dropped soon, from what I read, very few Tundra owner's DARE use it:yawn:

I love the sequential shifting. I use it to downshift all the time to save brakes.

Tacomas get all the good stuff. Backlit dash, power inverter, and especially locking diff.

i'll happily sacrifice all that for a v8 and legroom... ok, the locking diff would be sweet...

I use sequential shifting most of the time. Saves on brakes too. What's to be afraid of using sequential shifting???? o_O

I've wondered that too. Since buying my 2010 new and lurking on this and 3 other Tundra forums, I've read many, "my truck shifts too much" complaints from Tundra owners, who could remedy all their "shifting issues" easily, with a little effort on their part.

I misunderstood you. My bag. I use "manual" shift mode most of the time. Yeah the sequential shift feature can be a pain.
