Secret Santa 2023: What Did You Receive?

Haven’t been able to make it through the door. The smell of the place triggers some PTSD gag reflex.

 

Starbucks?

 

Double chocolate chip bourbon cookies, of course.

 

I had hoped that was the answer.

I like oatmeal butterscotch cookies but raisins can fuck off. They should have stayed grapes.

I actually pissed off the sample lady at Costco last week. She was sampling some weird cake and my wife liked it so she told me to try it. I think it had raisins and fruit peels in it. Like some kind of cake the Special Forces would use to torture someone into confessing.

Anyways, I took one bite and said “This is HORRIBLE.” Apparently the group of people behind me that were gonna get a sample, turned around and left. The lady gave me this big hateful scowl like she makes a commission off the sale of the nasty ass things…

 

Smell is supposedly the strongest sense tied to memory, so that's understandable. Their philly cheese steak wasn't bad and was even better if you got the french dip sauce (brain blanking on the name) to go with it.

 

I could add them - my wife doesn’t like nuts. &

 

She probably just recognized you as the guy that stole her taquito's last time she was working a sample table.

That's it! A philly cheese steak makes a better french dip than a french dip. Just sayin'.

She did look familiar. She also may have worked on of the strip joints in Baltimore back in the 90’s.

 

Hell yeah - the cheese and peppers and onions in there.

 

I like to do a 1:1 substitution with ground oatmeal and flour. Usually just a couple of tbs. Adds a little saltiness too.

 

There is nothing that’ll scratch out a hangover faster than a large Dunkin’ iced coffee with cream/two sugars coupled with a McDonalds McGriddle.

The Dunkin gets the brain function going again and the McGriddle provides the lube since your system is pretty much depleted of everything..

 

That sounds wretched.

 

I also used to drink 5hr energies right before bed after a heavy night of drinking. Brain loved me the next day; heart probably hated me that night.

if you go look at those liquid IV and all the other hangover stuff.. exact same as 5hr energy. Shoulda patented that shit.
