Christmas Day and we've still got a pansy blooming in a box outside. Granted it's on the porch with a roof and tarp sides but still. Oh and it's also 60 degrees.

Interesting. I think I might live on or near a fault line. Wondering if I need earthquake insurance? Still researching to confirm.

Are you in a 100 year flood plain? Maybe that’s what they’re going by?

Just checked the largest quake we’ve had is 6-6.3 which is barely noticeable. Maybe nothing to be worried about. I was thinking it was centuries since we had one but it’s not.

Is that Winco pizza dough? I see the logo on the garlic sauce. That's what we ended up doing today

Somehow I picture you aspiring to build your own back yard brick oven to get the real deal.

I was supposed to help a buddy build one, but he ended up moving before we got around to it.

i'm not big into pizza, & have more practice with a regular oven.

Nope. Our own dough recipe. But we did get all the other supplies from Winco.

Ooni Fyra but I put a propane attachment on it for tonight instead of the wood pellets

They tried to sell me one of those at Ace recently. $600 was pretty steep but they were on sale for $399 or some similar. Still couldn’t justify it. But propane ready.

I was just talking about building one with the family today. We have a bunch of leftover bricks from when the house was built.

You probably want to use fire bricks on just the inside so they don’t crack under the heat.

Our plan was a full size firplace looking thing kinda like this:

    IMG_5521.jpg

but one side would be against the house & help keep wind driven rain out. Also, he wanted some gas burners in it, but that was before he started grilling with lump charcoal.

I’d put a heat exchanger in the chimney and have the residual heat warm a hot tub in the winter if it made sense.

$10k in Gainesville FL for a 151k mile rust-free southern 2002 AC limited w/V8 and 4WD body in what looks like immaculate shape. No engine bay or interior shots.

Man, if that looks goon inside and underneath, I'd be all over it at that mileage for that price-- same year, cab, and colour and mine. If it has leather interior, almost worth a trip across country.
