@RainMan_PNW again, I'm sorry to hear about the accident. How're the two kiddos doing now that some time has passed? I hope they can rest and recover, and that you can rest as well.

 

Still waiting on more details regarding surgeries for both of them. Primarily managing pain in the meantime.

 

Oof. That's not making your night any easier, is it. I'm sorry. I hope the other guy's insurance is maxed out so you don't have to deal with any of the financial headache from this along with the damn scare that I'm sure you already went through.

Excellent past couple days here. I got home at 7 this morning, woke the family up to open presents. Got a good 5 hours of sleep then went to Christmas dinner.
I'm fat and happy right now, making double time.

Nice! Less active on my end, but I got some good sleep and woke up early enough to cook a bunch of steaks to help get me through the week. Trying to get back on the carnivore diet for the new year. Just going to slowly slip back into it this time.

Good call, I'm going to start eating cleaner and ditching alcohol for a while. Carbs and candy are the death of me.

 

Definitely felt better when on the no carb diet. I just gotta quit stressing so hard so I don't go after the comfort foods.

Daughter and BF were in shock and don’t remember much after thinking “this is it” right before impact
He admitted fault, and police had plenty of witnesses and two totalled vehicles.

Oooh, I thought you had arrived after the BF's parents. My misunderstanding. Still, as bad as all that it, it's all about the recovery now. It'll get better from here.

 

Tasteful chrome on the right colors is ok, but 20" wheels should never be on a truck.

 

We were enroute (40 minutes from our house) when they told us which hospital they were taking them to, so we headed straight there instead. I haven’t even seen the car or accident site yet (car is at an impound yard a couple miles from the hospital). Honestly don’t really care about the accident site - just need to get all of their stuff from the car and get the recovery process moving.
