I’d most likely run amber driving combo lenses on both S8 bars. I have clear driving combo lenses in the garage for my 30” OnX6 and would have spots or racer spots in the new 40” OnX6.

Unlikely that I’d run all of them simultaneously, but I suppose I could as the total is under the 100A rating of my sPOD.

And, as I’ve mentioned earlier, I have a good amount of light currently. But, I’d just like to have more! I drive a lot of miles at night on a rural highway. We have deer. A lot of deer. And elk.

And, for a few weeks each summer, we seem to have a good outflow of folks leaving town after the Country Fair. Odd with the venue being a solid 50 miles from home, but we will have several people that walk the highway after the event. Maybe their VW buses went belly up on them?

Regardless, i just want more light. It’s become a bit of an addiction, much like some of you guys with your superchargers!

Kinda wonder if I could just cut out parts of my honeycomb grille and make it all work…

The AJT kit doesn't work. Part of the issue with it is that the cover is too thick. Thin ABS covers have been tried, milling down the cover that comes with the kit has been tried and it still causes errors. One member even tried leaving the cover off without luck.

There is a light bar kit that sits behind the center of the grill where the gap is. However it does not fit if you have a transmission cooler.

And, of course, I have the trans cooler with my 2018…

We all know what it looks like, but this is my grille style:

Maybe I could open up about 15 of the honeycomb holes that are currently filled in on the upper and lower rows… Seems like an afternoon with a roll of masking tape and a Dremel might do the trick?

    Anyone tried this before?

    Too many mods to come
I thought about doing the same and integrating something into the grill but keep changing my mind on lighting lol

And that would be fine if the mounting space down there wasn’t as thick as tin foil on a Tundra!
That’s more inline with my initial plan for a pair of LP9, but it looks like I may have better luck trying to piss up a rope! lol.

I was trying to come up with something like that when I had the same grille. I pondered it for quite some time. What I would recommend is finding someone here on the forum that has one that they removed and use that one to cut apart in the garage. That would also give you time for ideas without having to rush.

Not a bad idea. I typically have full weekends off, if not more when I just skip work on Friday or Monday… I don’t own the place, but certainly get to make my own schedule. As long as my work is complete, the hours don’t matter. I’m on construction sales and my current backlog is rediculous…

So, I could pop this grille thing out and mount light bars, mark the grille, and get to work making holes. It’s ok if I don’t complete the entire deal in a weekend, just needs to look presentable by Sunday night…
