What have you done to your 2.5 gen Tundra today?

Yeah, that's what I want to get but I'm finding out that AJT got a cease and desist from Toyota so he no longer makes the overlays.

Balanced and installed the best Tundra wheel.

 

Ironman 4x4 Raid front bumper installed yesterday. Took about 12 hours, 3 of them on the phone with IM CSR’s about some peeling issues with red powder coating on the recovery points (black PC on everything else was excellent, great coverage), and areas in the installation video where the editors skipped over instructions for the parking sensor kit (I will detail in my review how yo use the parking sensor kit, the IM CSR’s didn’t know how, nor are there instructions) and how to install the LED bar with the grille they send. I’ll do a write up either in my build page, standalone, or jump on the thread @king.cong.1119 created for this bumper. Despite install challenges, this bumper is engineered well, offering more mounting points to the frame other than the stock 8 bolts that can cross-thread and strip easily. I am happy; rear bumper should be here next week.

Night pics after adjusting lights…I used the center pods on each side as the foglights, angling them down as much as possible as to avoid offending oncoming traffic. Drove it around for about an hour with no one flashing me. Also, angled the outer pods outwards at about 30 degrees, to serve as quasi-ditch lights.

 

Buddy that works with me has one - it’s a well built setup at a really good price point.

Great question. I monitor the temps constantly on OBD Fusion, and there’s still enough airflow even with the SDHQ double-curved LED mount and lights installed to where my temps are only slightly higher, averaging about 195 in the dead of the SC summers.

 

Agreed, with their SNOW2023 discount code, you get the lights for “free”, so both front and rear bumpers ended up at $3K delivered to my door.

 

I always wonder about these setups and air to the radiator and various cooling.

 

4 light bars seems like a lot.

@Cthulhu Did that bumper come with block off plates for the light openings if you didn't want to run lights?

What are you running for a front skid plate? Their website refers to mods and hardware changes to run the TRD Pro plate and when I asked I got no real details on what is needed. Really like this bumper but also like the front skid plate I already have.

 

New lower control arms( man that was fun), greasable cam bolts,new tie rod end, new front shocks, Alignment and wash almost at 200k.

 

What brand did you replace them with?

 

I’m running the RCI skid. No issues.

 

On the openings for the LED pods, there is a small plate that attaches if you do not run an outer set of pods; where the inner two pods mount, if you don’t run them, it’s still open. On the front light bar, it comes with a grille that you can use, but no plate covering.
