Well, I don't have one. The wife has a rack, though.

    (Her 4Runner, that is. Heh.)

We wouldn't want that... One of Santa's naughty elves must've got his password, because the real Santa would never make such a request :santa2:

Well, it's Christmas Eve (kinda)... :santa2:

Santa just wanted to say thank you to all of our participants for taking the time to post up what they received during the event. Not only does this help Santa keep track of things by making sure that everyone has met their obligations as a Secret Santa and has also been on the receiving end of this holiday tradition; but it also allows the recipients the opportunity to share their appreciation for their Secret Santa's efforts. Much of the fun of gift giving is seeing the reaction on the recipient's face when they open their gift, which is kind of hard in this setting. So, the 'received' posts really help bridge some of that gap between traditional gift giving and an event like this done over the internet.

Overall, I think we've had a great event this year. Hopefully, some fun and the joy of sharing and giving has been experienced by all who participated.

According to Santa's records, it appears that everyone has received gifts from their respective Santas.

I will leave this thread open for at least another week, just in case anyone else would like to share or add anything 'event related' to the thread.

    Merry Christmas everyone!!!!

That gave me the idea to run it through an AI generator, and it had fun ideas too.

Bittersweet Christmas here in the RainMan house.

My younger daughter and her boyfriend got hit head on last night on their way home. Both are alive, stable, and nothing too debilitating but both are going to be in the hospital at least a few days. He's got a broken upper arm and a tear in his lung and she's got a fractured and displaced sacrum... probably 2-3 months of non-load bearing recovery depending on surgery decisions that we hope to hear tonight or tomorrow.

mostly just thankful they are both still with us - gifts and festivities are gonna be pushed out a little bit. Currently trading shifts with momma bear at the hospital keeping family visitors at bay and trying to let her get some rest.

That said, I did get one hell of a surprise yesterday just before we left the house to go to my MIL’s for our annual Christmas Eve (before the rest of our night went sideways). A FedEx truck showed up at the house with 50” BD OnX6+ light bar that apparently is the handiwork of an undisclosed group of Tundras elves. I know @memario1214 is involved because his name is on the packing slip, but he’s tight-lipped on who else is involved.

Let me just say I’m speechless. Really. Thank you guys so much. I’m truly humbled.

    Merry Christmas.

    Thanks.
    Us too.

Getting a call from your daughter’s phone and it’s a stranger on the other end saying there’s been a wreck will take the spirit out of your body faster than anything I can think of.

51 weeks ago the same kid got hit by a DD on NYE. I’m starting to consider confining her to the house for Dec/Jan of every year…

He’s OK. Not sure if no injuries or not.
Fuck wad in a Range Rover was passing in a no passing zone on a straightaway with a blind hill (in the dark). Daughter’s BF was driving (our car) and managed to turn away just enough that the brunt of the impact was down the entire driver’s side instead of direct head-on. I haven’t seen the car or the location it happened yet, but BF’s parents live only a few miles away and they were on the scene pretty quick when he called them. Our car got spun fully around by the impact and all the airbags deployed. Plenty of witnesses, guy admitted to it. No idea if he was cited or not, but we’ll get started with insurance here soon. Getting everyone settled and healed is the first priority.

I’m almost positive he was cited. Unsafe passing, failure to maintain lane, and maybe careless driving. Regardless, whatever else you/yours may need, the tundra crew has your back

Maybe she needs the lightbar to keep other vehicles away. Horrible news, but hope they have a speedy recovery.

If I could afford it, I’d probably put her in a fully armored G-wagon or something.
