Headers for the Ridgeline? Yes do it for science. I bet you can supercharge that 3.5L too

I want to hate this truck, but it keep showing me, in 2006 this was a brand new product designed for the future, while the 2006 Tundra had become yesterday's truck that was getting shut down. The Ridgeline came standard with much of the stuff we 'upgrade' the Tundrii with. That said I'd trade without a thought. Tundra just has something this truck doesn't.

 

You ever heard of people using junkyard superchargers? Like the Eaton M90 from a GM 3.8L (Monte Carlo SS, certain Buicks, Grand Prix GTP)

 

nope. these early ones are starting to hit the junkyards now due to rust, so if there's any S.C.'s out there, they should be starting to show up.

If you're a lot more mechically inclined than me, ihose junkyard Eaton superchargers can be had for a few hundred bucks. You just gotta either find an adapter kit or fab one yourself then figure out the fuel/ECU situation. Probably tons of stuff out there for Honda's

I'm usually doing 45-50 on the highway & that's because I know which lane where. Other folks are doing 30 or stop/go on the highway.
Just no point to make this rolling blind spot have more power. I live amongst spastic kittens driving by text. Unclogging the lungs is enough.

I spend about $20-25k/year. And dont spend more than i make. Gonna knock that down with some solar power soonish.

 

It scares me how some of the kids in high school can’t do simple math and they’re being employed as cashiers.

Went to Market Basket the other day and the 16-17 yr cashier girl is about to give me $10.47 in change after I hand her a $20 bill.

To simplify the change to $10.50, I offer to give her $0.03 additional in change so I can get a $10 bill and two quarters. It was at that point she looked at me like a deer in headlights wondering what I was trying to do. She starts to get frustrated as I try to explain I’m just trying to simplify the change so I don’t get pennies back. She gives me $10.52 and I just thank her and walk away. I probably would have aggravated her more if I gave the two pennies back.

C’est la vie.

 

I went into a bank to cash a check for $100. The girl reaches in the drawer and counts out 10 twenty dollar bills. She makes out her cash out slip, and again counts out 10 twenty dollar bills. I say "thank you", then peel off 5 twenties and give them back to her saying "here's a tip for you"...

I would have just kept it, but the greedy f'ers at the bank would probably have docked her pay for it.

 

you kept them because they're handy to have in a truck. Pull out the drill & install them. Keep my ADD happy & use a level.

 

That section of 7 is indeed desolate. There's also a section of 684N next to route 22 in front of the MB dealer. The service manager of my previous brand would take cars there when he needed to do high-speed diagnostics involving triple digit speeds.

My FIL does the storage wars thing where he buys contents of storage units. He brought me these wrenches, most of which are Snap-On. Is there an easy way to remove some of the rust?

Evaporust will clean them up nice.

 

Easiest way is to soak them in Muriatic acid, but that will start eating away at the chrome supposedly. I used to do that with rusty nails and screws overnight in a cut apart plastic milk jug. No rust by the morning. There might be a fine line where it’ll get rid of the rust before it begins to etch the chrome but I wouldn’t do it unless you’ve already experimented with it.

Maybe something less caustic like Evaporust?

 

Soak in oxalic acid mixture overnight. You can buy at hardware store. Then neutralize the acid and pour out. It’s less hardcore than muriatic acid.

I also like EvapoRust, which may be the same as KrudKutter’s product, I keep a tub of it around. And both are finitely reusable.

 

Might hold off since I already have the L track in the bed. Now that I’m looking at the inner bedsides I don’t think they’ll fit as pretty as I’d like. And yes I know I’ll bedline it… eventually lol
