Okay, the vid is uploaded, there may still be a delay before it's viewable; and you might want to mute the sound as the wind noise from the radiator fan is annoying.

Nice work you're officially first person running a custom pulley on the Maggie 2650 for Tundra! That's awesome news on bolt pattern being dead nuts. The stock belt looks to be tight and purring.... I wonder what kind of deflection when ya get on it on the tensioner. I will be belt shopping but not until tomorrow...

That is awesome!!! The rib geometry is identical to the 1900 pulleys I do, I actually started with the 1900 pulley and then modified everything around the ribs since that was the one part I know works.

That is absolutely awesome and looks great! Good job measuring :D

It still kills me that had I known to wait another 3 weeks before ordering my 1900, the 2650 would have been available... Oh well! On the up side, I too got another one of @snivilous pulleys! 2.0 (down from the 2.2). Picked up a couple more PSI here @ 6,300 ft. The difference is much more noticeable in the lower rev range.

Yup, all I'm aiming for is to get the same power that you all are seeing at the near sea level elevations but at the elevation in which I reside. When I infrequently go significantly lower, being conservative will be on me to not let things get out of hand.

Now that I've gotten brave and pushed it a little, the stock belt is definitely too long. If I ease into it gradually I might see 3psi (relative to sea level), but if I get all excited and push too far I can actually hear the belt slipping. It's been a while, but I think that even given that handicap, it might still be faster than stock (again, at elevation). I popped into the other parts store in our county and they can get me a belt tomorrow. I think that one's right at 115". We couldn't seem to find anything inside the 14.5" to 15" range, but he was going to keep looking. We also looked up an image of the stock tensioner to try to determine if we recognized any range markings, but neither of us could. We'll have to see what @helidave finds.

Ah! Fabulous! Thanks for taking a chance on my all thumbs and novice measuring technique.:notsure: I'm relived that they turned out.

I wonder how hard to it would be to find a suitable replacement idler pulley that’s a tad larger than stock to take up the slack as opposed to getting a smaller belt and busting your knuckles changing it.

It would be sweet if the maggy had an adjustable idler like the whipple comes with

Excellent big-picture thinking! We'd have to just check the clearances around the idler, right?

There's always the trade in program :D that looks great though! I'm glad that other high altitude people can benefit from the small pulleys. I always thought it was hilarious how the options on the market were for a relatively trivial increase in boost. It's one thing when you're at sea level and don't have far to push it, but the rest of us are like wow, an extra 2psi, I'm now at half the boost of a stock sea level blower  anyways, sorry for the delay on that pulley and glad you can feel a difference! Hopefully it whines a bit more too!

I've thought about adding or changing the idler to increase belt wrap and help with belt tension. For the 1900 that always seemed kind of pointless, for the 2650 that option may need to be put back on the table if there's no belt options that are close to the optimal.

Does the 2650 mag have an idler mounted on the crossover pipe like the Harrop? It would seem like something that one could find a larger replacement for with some digging perhaps.

No, neither of the Maggies (1900/2650) have additional idlers versus stock.
The above was incorrect, I misremembered.
RockAuto says the tensioner pulley is 76mm and the idler pulley is 56mm.

    This.
I had to go outside and look at it as I can't remember shit sometimes. There are the two idlers, one flat one above the fan pulley and a grooved one above the A/C pulley. There is almost no room between the flat idler and the fan pulley, super tight. There does seem to be a little room for a larger grooved pulley, but that would fractionally reduce the wrapped surface area of the belt around the blower pulley. Don't know if that would be significant though.

A timing belt tensioner pulley will work great as the base for a custom piece.

When I installed the overdrive crank pulley my belt was super tight. I found that the highlander tension pulley was 1/4 inch smaller and installed that and gave me an some room. I deleted all the pulley sizes that I compared though as some pulleys were larger that stock.

Oh I have little doubt, it's just a matter of finding it. Kind of like the belt. If I feel I've exhausted the belt options, the pulley would seem like the perfect next option to look into.

This is funny, I was just thinking in the back of my mind that it would be pretty funny to discover that a likely candidate pulley might be found on another Toyota model.
