For those of you who have this set up, is there a difference between the 2 revisions? I know Bilstein just came out with a black version of the 6112?

I’m assuming that everything is still the same and they haven’t changed anything with the specs?

I just installed this setup and love it along with coachbuilder 2” shackles. But sorry, don’t know the difference on the versions

6112 has a new banded piston for more consistent valving - New "super spacers" which are just essentially a new/more robust internal spacer design - The black labelling for a branding change - Body now has a clear coat on it

5160 has the same new clearcoat and decal treatment as the 6112s plus - the billet clamp that affixes the reservoir to the shock body started standard on this new gen. Some models (like the Tacoma) have gone back to frame mounted reservoirs likely as a result of a clearance issue, but as far I am aware the Tundra still has the billet mounts. - The endcap design has changed and fittings have changed. Design change is intended to increase long-term durability against leaking.

And a shameless plug - We've got them on the shelf here at HSO, and we can offer assembly services to boot :D

Colton coming in hot with the deets. Thanks man! Unfortunately I have the previous version of the 5160 which I’m pretty sure is just as robust!!!

Let me know if you guys can rebuild these 5160s LOL

Um... Likely not. I do have a 5160 here torn apart that is on my list of things I'd like to figure out how to do, but I refuse to give an ETA . Replacement components are not readily available, unfortunately. Well, not that I have found anyway.

So, the 5160's come with the billet remote reservoir clamp and don't have to be purchased separate? If so, is there a different part number compared with the older ones with hose clamps?

EDIT: Looks like I just found my own answer.
