    Thoughts on the Pro Clip?
Worth the cost? Any issues or concerns?

I’ve had mine for a year or more and couldn’t imagine not having it. Worth every penny.

I’ve been happy with it so far. It was easy to install, didn’t involve any permanent changes, and doesn’t block my vents - all pluses in my book. It seems quite stable. Got mine on sale during BF, so it was at least a bit cheaper.

How's the functionality? Is it smooth and responsive to use? Some reviews showed the resolution as being awful. But yours looks great. I'm very tempted to get one as i'm really trying to keep the OEM look and don't like large tablet like screens on the dash.

So far, no issues with the functionality. It’s not 100% the same as a stock integrated unit, because it runs over the aux input. So, for example, you can’t listen to the stock radio and view, say, Google maps via CarPlay at the same time. (At least not that I’ve found). Otherwise, it’s 100% the usual CarPlay experience. If all you listen to is stuff off your phone, you’ll never notice. The fact that it supports wireless CarPlay so I don’t even have to plug in my phone is a definite plus.

It’s been pretty smooth. I’ve only been using it for a couple of days, but I have no complaints about responsiveness so far.

As for the resolution - it’s okay. It’s not as sharp as a full replacement system, but that’s a limitation of the old screen it’s working through. If you zoom in on pic, you’ll see it. If I look at it closely, yes, it’s a bit fuzzy, but honestly, regular use, it doesn’t really bother me. And for the price… yeah, it’s fine.

I also like it a lot. I use mine with a Klockwerks magnetic mount which you can get from ProClip. Super easy and reversible installation. Rock solid mount easily holds a phone or tablet. Doesn't interfere with vent. Puts the phone near eye level but does not block field of view at all. It is the best option IMO. Only downside is it is a bit expensive, but worth every penny.

I have one as well. I decided on it because I can have the phone closer to eye level/normal sight lines for mapping if needed but doesn’t block anything but a view of the hood.

Sounds like my life, my mother-in-law godbless her wants to make sure she gets me what I want and need so she tells my wife to buy things for me which in turn has her ask me what she should buy for her mother for me. o_O

I don't have any blanks to use...

I'm thinking about just drilling a small hole under the HVAC or up closer to the OE switches to the right of the steering wheel.

I ordered a 3D printed switch panel that goes under the HVAC controls and hoped to use the Toyota plug, but not I'm happy with the fitment of the switches in the slots

Upgraded the rear leaf springs and shocks to Dobinsons. Achieved 3” of lift. Was a pain in the ass, as expected, but satisfying too. Doing the front end tomorrow!

I installed my new bumper today. We built a new one to match the fenders after we cut 1.5" out of them.

I have the ProClip also and have S23 with spigen case, over the summer I noticed the set screw would loosen when it was really hot - maybe blue loctite will fix it.

It's a blessing and a curse haha. Sometimes it would be better if I couldn't change things up so easily because then I wouldn't order bigger and bigger tires and tell myself it'll be "easy" to make them work.
