You know what sucks? They may actually be borrowing the truck from a friend to haul this stuff. This is why I insist on driving any time someone wants to borrow the truck to haul stuff.

 

The only person who is allowed to borrow my truck is my father.

 

Dad drove my tundra a couple times, always seems like i have to pry the keys out of his hands. I bet he wouldnt give it back if i couldnt whoop his ass.

 

I don't know why, but I have wanted a geo metro for a few years now. I think it would make the perfect low cost beater commuter. Talk me out of this one that just came up locally.

My 6'4" buddy drove one in high school. He slid into the back of a grand am at 10-15mph and it totalled his car. Hood folded in half, core support bent, that type of stuff. His car actually went under it.

Theres just something fun about a beater. The tundra(t) is too nice to bastardize.

 

There are so many other putters you could buy out there that get a combined 30-40mpg for under $5k, I can't imagine why you'd want this specific Suzuki, uh, Metro LSi hatch.

It's novel and all but ... uh ... get one with an extra cylinder that you can turbo.

 

A first gen Scion xB is high on the list, but the Geos go for almost nothing. This guy wants 1k, but I'm sure he would take a little less.

Im going to order my 5100's, ome's, and a cart full of shit from rock auto to quell these feelings for now.

I've been going down that rabbithole lately hunting for a potential kids car. Scion xB, xD, xA both. And Prius. And Corolla and Matrix.

Saw this, but the "hole in oil pan" was offputting. Granted ... it sounds decent on crank, so maybe?

Worst case Honda engines are plentiful and cheap. eBay a jdm takeout and have it shipped to your door. You could probably do the swap in a weekend.

 

Im a bit of a VW purist. If I picked up a bug it would have to be pre 66. Split windows and ovals are going for more money than I'd like to spend.

I have a 66 microbus in storage about 50' from me. Daily drove it for about 2 years and then parked it. Someday I'll do the full resto on it.
