First off thank you! It's been an ever evolving progress to get it where it is and even still it is changing.
As for the tent, I love it. I have had the tent in weather from hot, humid Texas weather to cold, flooding, windy Colorado weather and have yet to have an issue! That being said the tent and bed rack are for sale just due to our camping style. We move every morning and I am going to try out a clamshell just to speed up making and breaking camp. Still I have used the soft shell for 3 years and have yet to have a complaint.
As for the bed rack, I started with a super low rack which was great until I went with the Decked drawers, which are totally worth it! Once the Decked drawers were installed I went to a 12" tall bed rack to give more room under the rack and ended up loving that taller rack due to being able to utilize my annex and mount items to the bed rack; such as 270 awning, maxtrax, shovel, axe, etc.

Do it! It's a great time and way to get out and camp, wheel, explore and just enjoy nature.

Sweet build. Where about in East Texas are you? I am down in Houston, if you ever get a group together to cruise down to the coast count me in. I get down there usually at least once a month to fish but would love to get another camping trip going while this weather is half decent and mosquitos are gone.

Nice will do. I used to drive through that area a lot when I was working in the Haynesville shale areas.

Well, I changed things up a bit for a little while. Bed rack and RTT are gone for the time being.

I love softoppers, especially tan on white. My Tacoma rocked that look for a long time.

I've ran black softoppers and black wheels in the past but went a little untraditional with the Tundra and decided on the bronze wheels and tan softopper and I've really liked the look!

I bet so! I wish I knew back then what I know now! I could have had a crazy rig but back then drop bracket lifts were cool!

It started ok, 3" lift, full armor, winch, sliders. That was back in '13. I remember seeing RTTs online and thought they looked cool but very few people had them.
    20231220_222543.jpg

Back then I was building a dedicated wheeler that never got fully finished then sold. Wish I could find it now. Full cab swap, 22re, 5 speed, twin stick, doubler, on 36s and beadlocks.

The wait will be worth it for the new front bumper. I wish I could have kept all my previous Toyotas, Tacoma, FJ80, 79 Hilux etc.

I have no doubt about that! I've been wanting one ever since I got my rear bumper from Travis. If I could go back, I'd keep everyone of mine!

Hey Johnny. Are the E3 Machine latches a direct bolt-on to the SOB rear bumper? My original latch broke this weekend. Thanks!

They are. Easy swap out, it's the southco latch pattern.

Great build, if you didn't mind me asking what extension brackets did you use to raise the 270 awning?

Thank you. They are the RCI awning brackets, I did brace them because they moved along with the weight of the 270 awning.

Thanks, I have a below the cab height rack currently and been wanting a 270 awning but was unsure how to mount and was wondering about it holding the weight.

Yep, the RCI brackets will do it! I ended up cutting gussets and welding them in the corners of the brackets to sturdy them up and that worked great.
