    My 2010 Tundra Base did not come with a fob (unless the previous owner lost it).
    Looking up my VIN on the Toyota website, I can see that it has the keyless entry feature.

    How would I go about getting a fob and programming it? Can I simply get a used fob and do it manually?

    I bought a couple cheap aftermarket (Chinese) FOBS and the buttons failed in a short amount of time. So i went on ebay and found a company selling used OEM FOBs. I bought one and it's still working just fine. There's a huge difference in quality.

    Man. Glad you’re on this forum. I’ve been looking to make a spare since I only have my one fob and key. Do you program the key in the ignition using the modded TechStream? Never done this before but assume it’s relatively simple if you’re computer savvy.

    Yeah keys and fobs are programmed separately. If you're doing a key, have a locksmith cut it ($5).

    None =(
    My keyless entry on my 2007 Tundra went out a while back, & I hate having things that don't work all over the place, (ie, my home) but on my vehicle it's unacceptable, I came across a key fob on Amazon which said it would work for my ID #, So I bought it under $20. the little card that came with it was all but useless, I looked on YouTube, & found 4-different videos all saying approximately the same thing, and another guy who would even rent you a tool that would help you do it, with a money-back guarantee. I copied all the things in the videos but I want to go through one of them one more time due to not getting the end part right. Hope this gives you somewhere to start.

    I ended up purchasing an OEM fob on eBay for $35.
    I had someone locally program it for $100. Took literally 30 seconds.
    Not cheap, but saved me the hassle.
