To me, the pictures don't do it justice. I'm not a great photographer.

really? simple install, I just have the stock Sr5 speakers, not sure if this upgrade would be worth it unless you upgraded them?

Give it about 2 years. Canada is usually at least that far behind real 1st world countries when it comes to accomplishing anything more complicated than ordering a double double from Tim's *spit*.

Good looking truck, enjoy these quiet miles. Rattles, squeaks and what not don't kick in much until the 4-5k mark. You'll still love it though

I only had one small bubble on the top left corner but was able to get it out with the squeegee they provided in the kit.

I thought I'd screw it up too but didn't. If you don't want to do it maybe one of those guys in a Shopping Mall who put screen protectors all day long on cell phones and tablets would be willing to do it.

Yes it made a really big difference on mine. Night and day, especially for the minimal effort required. I’d assume it would also improve the non-JBL system sound much better also.
It’s not at the level my Tech12volts system was in my last truck, but definitely bridges the gap very well for the cost and work required to install it. It costs about 10% of what the Tech12volts system did and only takes 15-20 minutes vs the solid day or so the full system did.

Many vouch for the BeatSonic amplifier for our trucks, myself included. Before the amp I had to crank the volume to 50+ just to get it decently loud. Now it gets there around 30 and cleans up the sound quite a bit. I'll be upgrading door speakers and adding an amp and sub to replace the decent, but still lacking, upgraded OEM JBL system. Going back to my go to Polk Audio component 6.5s and a mono amp and shallow mount 10" sub.

I just installed the BeatSonic myself as well. I managed to get it in by taking out only the top tray above the head unit. It does improve the sound and output but nothing earth shattering. It seems kind of expensive for what it does but the plug and play (no wire splicing) install is pretty sweet. Mine is the non-JBL head unit and I turned up the gain on the Amp to around 80-90% as the default factory setting (50%) seemed pretty weak.

I think I'm going to replace the front door speakers next as these are the one's you hear the most from the front seats. I'm wondering if 2-way (or 3-way) 6.x9's make sense? I think that the door speakers are meant for bass only so there may be a low pass filter in there somewhere which would make the 2/3 way extra tweeters useless. Anyone know for sure?
