    Too many mods to come

Nope, quiet like stock. Filling and bleeding little whine since it was empty but once filled no issues.

Well I had an incident with my air compressor a few months ago and needed to take it out and check the connections. When I installed it I only had the use of one arm because it was after my shoulder surgery. I wanted it in so I did it and it was a MFer for sure but got it done. Well that thing vibrates a lot and I told the guy at Extreme Outback and he said

Regarding rubber isolating the compressor, my advice is not to use individual rubber “feet” but to use one slab of rubber (something maybe 7” wide by 9” long if you have the room) and drill four little holes where the compressor foot bolt goes through. The best isolator we’ve found is rubber horse stall mats. The secret is these are made up of compressed granules of rubber with a lot of air space between them to dissipate the energy. A solid rubber pad may transfer the vibration due to being too stiff and hard. The horse stall mats are very dense but porous. That is the secret to dampening vibrations. Here is a sample of the product I’m talking about:

    https://www.amazon.com/American-Floor-Mats-Durable-Flooring/dp/B08SZV2DN8?keywords=horse+stall+mats&qid=1698080357&sr=8-1-spons&sp_csd=d2lkZ2V0TmFtZT1zcF9hdGY&th=1

¾” would be preferable and it is available at farm and ranch supply, feed stores and Tractor Supply or Amazon.

    So that was todays job…

Before (forgot to take one so this is from Colorado)

Like this. Looking at using a sheet of starboard for mine. Basically cutting board material, but in sheets, and 1/3 the price of a premade truck specific panel.

This let me keep to my blue theme. Not cheap but a whole lot cheaper then buying thr TRD kit, and I'd already upgraded to the AFE filter so I really only needed to add the "straight" tube. Plus, who doesn't like a fun paint project :D

I sanded & sealed mine & shes gtg. Cost about $25 and I’m left with 2/3 of a sheet of nice plywood for other projects. I’ll burn in my kids birthdates in Roman numerals on it I think. Nice little momento

Hit the 35000 mile mark and changed the oil and filter. First go round with the Fumoto in place and what a mess free set up that is.

Then, put a fumoto on the bucket to decant it back into the bottles for recycling at the LAPS.

I use the 16 quart container from autozone but still manage to splash a few drops. Definitely going the bucket route from now on.

When I started the truck I was standing outside and then I turned the switch on. I thought it was noticeably quieter but then I thought I was expecting that so I am going to do it again tomorrow. I did sit in the drivers seat and there is much less vibration that before so that is a good thing

This and the transmission cooler is next on the list… I think I found some angle brackets on Etsy that I’ll be able to mount the PS cooler.
