Snugtops are spendy, that's absurdly low. But I don't think the dude has the right measurements or right cab type?

    He's saying 88.5 x 78 and measures for 1GT are ballpart 66-68" wide, maybe that 88.5 is a typo (68.5?). Here's the dims list from 1st page:
    • Double cab (67x75 or 68x76)
    • Access cab (67x77 or 68x78)
    • Regular cab (67x100 or 68x101)

Yeah the measurements are suspect. But it says it came off an 04 AC

"2004 Toyota tundra SR5 club cab (extended cab)"

Club cab = crew cab? Then it also says extended cab. Totally confusing. But yeah if that had hit near me, that would be on my truck probably STAT.

It should have a model tag on the back driver corner inside, see if you can get that and call a dealer

If it's the right size you'd be silly to pass that up for 3 hundy.

This ^^ for real. OMFG. That's basically 100% what I was initially looking for. I prefer my Leer 100R at this point, even if the wrong color, but ... shit. That Snugtop is originally what I was hunting out!

I messaged the guy but haven't heard back yet. It's been listed a week and I kept skipping over it because it was on that dodge in the pics. I hope it's still for sale.

I have to ask myself, at what point do you not just admit "Ok, this is totally fucking stupid, I should be driving an SUV"?

And I say that knowing they're barely getting the same amount of actual bed space in that steampile as you'd get in any modern medium-large SUV with the 3rd row folded down. The SUV may actually have more space, to be honest.

To be fair, the avalanche had a roll down rear window and a folding midgate effectively turning it into a 2 seater with an 8 foot bed.

I wasn't aware of the folding midgate.

An acuaintance of ours (kids used to play together) had one and used to bitch to high hell and back about it. Everything you can imagine. He's also in tech but doesn't know anything about cars, so when he started noticing quirks with braking, steering, he brought it in. They told him $4k-6k work to overhaul everything, and the list was really mundane stuff I told him I could help with, he opted to get rid of it. I was kinda pissed, he took $3k on trade-in and at the time, with about $1k in work it would've been worth ~$12k. I would've loved to get my hands on the engine, maybe the trans for a fun project and re-sold the fully functional roller for $3k.

I never understood their claim of the Avalanche turning from an SUV to a pickup. When was it ever an SUV? That capped Avalanche looks like a Pontiac Aztec, cat-eye Silverado, and a Ridgeline had an orgy

That seems both silly and a little cool to me. Like if someone gifted me an Avalanche, I'd always drive it opened up like that. Probably remove the doors too

It’s a crew cab truck with 5’ bed and a regular cab with an 8’ bed in a pinch. Add a camper shell and it’s a 2 row suburban. Cool idea.

I would request measurements because at first glance it looks like it may fit A/C. And it's white.
