Woke up to our first overnight dusting in NoVA (after a day of rain yesterday). I'm hoping for a good snow season this year!

Have you considered a 90° USB-C connection to the phone mount?

A little cleaner install than mine, but it's a great spot and a great mount for iPhones. I haven't had it slip off once yet in 18months it's been there.

It's the Apple mag safe charger with some 3m Dual lock on the back.

The case depends. If it's an Apple "mag safe" certified case, then yes it will hold. If it's an Amazon etc. case that kind of lets you charge through it, then the adhesion may not be the best, YMMV.

Finally joined the Alpine club and got my new HU installed! Took way longer than I’d hoped but by God everything works.:bananadance: I’ll have to post my thoughts on the install in the Great HU thread. Love having CarPlay and the front camera and it sounds great! Couldn’t have done it without this forum:bowdown:

Had to post up a little better picture of my recent upgrades.
I took the toolbox out and installed a revolver X4S bed cover earlier this weekend, really enjoy it.
Still need to paint my rear bumper caps and install a hoop on the front bumper.

Many know I preached about these so it was time to throw some on my rig after proving they work amazing on the old man’s rig.

It actually really does, hope it inspires him to go that route. Was your idea to mock it up. :fistbump: Edit: @RobertD idea

I do that all the time too! In fact I did it just earlier today right before slappin the overlays on. I kinda like and don't like the 5.7 emblem being ALL black. I feel like it needs a bit of TRD look to it so I'm just playing with the idea of...

    20231211_101338.jpg

What do you guys think? Too much red? I know you can get them with JUST the 5.7 underlay in red but I kinda dig the entire underlay part painted red.

I love how all your truck parts get to spend time in the house before you throw them on the rig :D

My wife would lose her shit if I unboxed a supercharger or some brake parts in the kitchen

Well, I made a pivot since I have some extra time. I was planning on doing 1” lift blocks in the rear. But since I don’t have time to get the lift on for a few weeks i as stewing on if I really wanted to run them, and decide to go with CB +2 shackles instead. I feel like it’s a much better option.

now the only thing I need to figure out if I wanna stay with stock wheels or go aftermarket. I can’t seem to find an option in the offset that I would like. 25-40

Look at Method. They have multiple 18's with a offset in that range. @memario1214 sells them too and they were just on sale (not sure if sale is still active)

Gave wife a choice: divorce or SharkEye 4WD wheel alignment kit. Reluctantly she agreed to carry on with the beer soaked beard.

This thing allows to measure toe-in/out and, most importantly, thrust angle. This thing, by the way:

    1.png

As I guesstimated, the thrust angle is not zero, where it should be. Front left/right wheels, the offsets should be symmetrical:

    2.png

    3.png

    Rear toe-in is alright:

    4.png

    5.png

Now need to think where the thrust angle problem comes from. The leaf part of suspension is stock, I only put a longer shackles and 5100 shocks. Sliding the axle on the leaf would be problematic, since it is centered with pin/hole.
