I ordered a set of rokblokz for my tundra. The oem flaps don’t protect much. Rokblokz and running boards tight to the rocker panels is what I’m doing to cut down on all the paint damage, especially the bedside in front of the rear wheels.

I don't think new holes will make a difference, I think it's just how the mudflaps are contoured. If you have a heat gun you could potentially slowly heat up and contour?

Not likely. The angle is pretty extreme. I didn't measure, but I'm guessing the outer edge of the rear flap is 4-5" away from the tire tread. The inside of the mud flap is only about 2-3" from the tread.

Here's a pic. Sorry about my filthy garage floor. It's on my list of chores for this weekend.

Not sure if you've already picked running boards, but the go rhino RB30 give GOBS of door/rocker protection from rocks. Not to mention, they make a good step.

Would not recommend the slims, they look great, but aren't functional, in my eyes at least.

The factory liners/splash guards have the same look as the Amazon liners...

I was really thinking about getting the slims, do you think they add any protection from rocks?

As long as you have stock offset wheels, they would offer decent rock protection, but they are too small for steps. My standard RB30 boards have saved me countless chips. Everytime I pull on the highway, I hear those poor boards getting nailed by a rock or two.

Rokblokz installed. Factory flaps offer very little protection, especially with 295’s

Ordered mine today....red embossed logo. It should go well with my TRD Pro fender flares and +8 offset Fuels and 35" tires

They’ll look great. In my pictures the flaps are adjusted all the way out while keeping the bottoms level.

Are you indicating that they are adjustable "side to side" (horizontally) to account for tire poke? That would outstanding.

The bolt holes lined up perfectly.. Flaps are snug and heavy rubber.

I got some Rek Gen Trophy Sport Mud Flaps.
Did anyone take out 4 screws instead of just 3 ? Also did your hardware look like mine?
I am a little confused on how to orient it.

Got mine, installation took 45 minutes. Love that they prevent side spray on full left/right lock. Look sharp too.

Just bought a new Tundra, replacing my Tacoma which has the rockblokz. I liked those, but they were a bit oversized for stock wheels/tires, and I never went bigger.

    IMG_2080_Original.jpg IMG_0881_Original.jpg

For the Tundra i just ordered the Tuffskinz. Half of the price of the higher end brands helps too. reminds me of Tuff Skins jeans from the 70’s when I was a kid. I think they were also the poor kid jeans. Thanks for sharing the product tips and Happy New Year :playball:

For those of you with Rek Gen flaps -- are they alone enough to protect the sides/rear fenders from rock chips, or do you need to combine them with side steps of some sort? Just bought a '24 Crewmax Limited OR that came with the factory flaps and drop down steps. With a mile of gravel to and from my house those aren't going to cut it. Wondering if I can change the steps to a Rhino RB 20 or RB 30 and keep the factory mudflaps, or just go to Rek Gen's and no steps (my preference), or exactly what the best combo is that doesn't look like my Grandpa's GMC back in the day! :)

I'd look at the Rough Country RPT2, running boards they are pretty wide and sit much higher than the go rhino boards. Also OEM mudflaps are tiny, I sold mine and bought a set from Amazon that are probably 50% larger.

I know this is old, but I am looking for a set. Figured it would be worth checking on before buying new.
