Well they’re all driving near 20 year old trucks, they’re so fucking cheap they won’t even part with a “thanks” button in case it wastes a fraction of a penny in data package charges, or electricity.

The first gen guys are driving trucks in that age range… and so am I.

    I’m also becoming ridiculously cheap.

They will replace a blade. I was totally abusing a pocket knife since I didn’t have anything else handy
Took a chunk out of the blade and they replaced at no cost.

Wish I knew about this. I’ve broken 2 or 3 of the Kershaw pocket screwdrivers, er I mean pocket knives.

Went straight to the hobby store and picked one of these up when they dropped. Wife wrapped it for Christmas morning. I may have bought a few upgrades for it over the last few weeks. It's as addictive as full size trucks, but a set of alloy wheels are $25 instead of $1,000. Nice tires can be had for $15 instead of $1,500.

As far as giving goes, I brought home a haul from Sam's club the other night and we had the kids help us build meal kits and hygiene kits for a local high school teen center. Ended up with 35 hygiene kits and 60 meal kits.

Those are the 1/18 scale versions.

They make a 1/10 scale version with selectable diff locks F+R and a selectable 2 speed trans.
    https://m.traxxas.com/products/landing/ford-f150-pickup/

Major cool factor, but $550 is hard to justify for me.

I went with the 1/18 for the $175. Single speed trans, locked diffs.

I’m a noob, does it come with a controller?

Yes, and these ones come with the battery and charger too. Lots of people hate on Traxxas for commercializing the hobby, but they sure make it easy.

I bought 3 of the 1/18 Broncos for my three kids for Christmas. I think you need 4 AAs for the controller. That reminds me to get AAs for Christmas morning. :monocle:

I also bought a lift kit and some larger tires and alloy wheels for my oldest. The chev/ford are already lifted. That's the "high trail" branding.

Yes I also donate every year. $50 dollars a month to our local food bank and my company matches that donation. I also do the Angel tree every year and also have a customer that I ask to donate to his church food meal fund for the needy on the last service that I do for him each year instead of paying me. Sounds like a lot , but not nearly enough for someone that has been as fortunate as me.

I’ve had quite the year, so definitely went a bit crazy on myself for once. It was great! The main piece would be my midlife crisis/retirement/last gasoline sports car
